*Two days later*

Diana pov:
"Okay we have been waiting for three hours. Where is Batman?" I asked

"I have no idea" Superman was rubbing his temples. He was clearly a mix of worry and annoyed.

"Batman does realize that we all have places to protect. How are we supposed to do that if we're all locked up in the watch tower?" Aquaman asked.

I had to agree with him. We all had jobs to do. It's only the original six sitting here waiting for Batman.

"What if it has something to do with the fundraiser. Superman you said that he left and the children were worried." I felt like I was grasping at straws. "Of maybe he's just late"

"He's not" I heard a voice say

"How did he even get in here without us hearing him?" I heard Flash whisper to Green Lanterns; who just shrugged and looked around frantically to find the voice.

"Because. Now we need to talk." The voice walked out of the shadows.

Nightwing. I should have known.

"What are you doing here?" Superman asked

"I'm here to talk. Did I not just say that?" Nightwing mumbled to the shadows. TMissinghat made me wonder how many other people are in the room.

I put the thought aside. "Where's Batman?" We needed to get to the bottom of this.

Nightwing paused. It was like he didn't know if he was making the right choice. Finally he spoke; "missing"

The room was silent. No one dared to say anything. No one dared to breathe. No one dared to think about what that meant.

Superman was the first to speak. "What do you mean missing"

I thought Nightwing was going to attack him for that. He just stared at him with an are-you-serious-I-can't-believe-you're-even-here-right-now look. I had to agree with him. Missing means missing. But I did want more information.

"He's missing. And by that I mean he's missing. No one can find him. No one has seen or talked to him. He's missing Superman" Nightwing spit out at us. The way he said "Superman" man was almost in a mocking tone. How someone has the nerve to mock Superman I'm not sure. But if it had to be anyone it would be the Bat family. Batman does the same. I've never mocked him. I've put him in his place but never mocked.

"Since when?" Martian manhunter asked. Flash jumped. He probably forgot he was there.

"Two days ago. He went missing just after 9 o'clock the night of the fundraiser" Nightwing responded.

Again the room froze. Deadly silent. Oddly enough I could only find myself wondering whether Nightwing was Dick or Jason. I shook that off. I needed to focus.

"The fundraiser? What do you mean the fundraiser?" Flash asked

"Oh my...is there something is with you guys today? I'm not sure if I could be anymore clear. He went missing. At. The. Fundraiser. Two. Days. Ago" Nightwing deadpanned.

"No I get that but-"

"But what Flash?" Nightwing cut him off. "I'm pretty sure it's straight forward enough for you guys to figure it out." He stopped and sighed. He looked worried. I hadn't noticed before but I could see it now.

"How are you going to find him?" Aquaman asked.

"You guys aren't going to find him. We needed you to know. Stay out of Gotham. We'll stay in touch. Keep the league running. We'll find Batman"

Before anyone could say anything a loud crash was heard behind us. We all went to attack but nothing was there. We turned back around and Nightwing was gone.

"He really is Batman's kid" I observed.

"What are we gonna do?" The Flash asked

"What they say?" Green Lantern offered.

"For now. Yes." Superman said

—————the Batcave————

Nightwing's pov:

"How'd it go?" Barbra asked as we walked into the cave.

I pulled my mask off. Jason, Tim and I had just return form the watchtower.

"As well as we could have hoped." I said walked over to computer.

"Think they'll listen?" She asked.

"Probably not. But I think we can stall them." I clicked at the computer.

"How?" Damian asked.

I smirked as I continued to go through the computer.

"Oh he's got that smile. This should be good." Jason said laughing.

I finally found was I was looking for. I pulled it up.

"Phase two. Time to commence"

"Oh this is definitely going to be good" Tim said with the same evil smirk the rest of us were sharing.

"The leaguers are going to wish they never interfered with us"
