Dick x Reader

This is my first one shot so please no hate. 🥺 I hope you guys enjoy!

(Y/N) POV-
        I walked into my new school. Gotham Academy. Wow! The place everybody just loves. . :| Well not me. I love the education part but people liking me is a different thing. Yeah I have friends but some people pick on me. My friends tell me they are just jealous of my looks and being one of the top 3 of our class. I don't think so. I am not much of a girly girl. I hardly wear makeup.

        The bell rang and I walked into class right on time. I sat at my table. Of course! My teacher just had to sit me next to the one and only Dick Grayson. The top of our class. The ward of Bruce Wayne. The most handsome kid in the world. I can't help but blush every time I look at that kids face. So I avoid eye contact with him as much as I can.

        The teacher came in and everybody sat down. "So I know you guys are excited about prom tonight so there will be no homework this weekend. So today will be a very laid back day. If you have late work or homework from another class you need to be doing that. If you guys don't have anything to work on, you may whisper to the people around you but please be quiet for the people working around you. And please no moving seats. You may begin." He said while walking to his desk working on his own stuff.

        I didn't have homework and I left my book at home  Soooo... I just sat quietly. I noticed the popular girls sitting near each other whispering about prom. I notice Dick reading a book next to me. Many girls were looking at me. One of the popular girls said to me, "So (Y/N) do you have a date to prom?" "No" I said. They giggled. "Who would go with her" the other girl teased. "Will you guys ever shut up!" Dick said shutting his book loudly. They replaced their rudeness with a shocked face. I tried holding my laughter. Their mouth were practically touching the floor because of how sister shook (I know, I know. Sister James is Queen👸) they were. They turned to face the front and start talking about something else. "Thanks" I said looking at him but still avoiding eye contact. "Why does someone as pretty as you get picked on by ugly jerks?" He asked. I sat still. I could feel the heat burning my face. "And why would you not have a date by now?" He paused, "If it is okay with you, would you be my date for tonight?" I then looked of my feet and into his eyes. I could feel my face heating up even more this time. "Sure!" I said awkwardly. I smiled. He smiled back. "Great I'll pick you up tonight!" He said. Then the bell rang.

        I rushed home. I needed a dress. I carpooled with my friend, Rachel, to go to the dress store. We are more of a last minute type of people. We look thought it the store and got what we needed. (Dress and shoes) We then went to our appointment at the salon to get our hair, nails, and makeup done.

         When we were done Rachel dropped me off at my house it was currently 7:45 and I had 15 minutes to get my dress on and shoes before Dick comes to get me.

        7:59. I am scared. Thankfully my mom helped me zip this dress up. I made my way outside. Checked my phone. 7:59.

        A few seconds later a black limo pulls up in front of me. An old man gets out of the drivers seat and opens the door in front of me. "Good Evening Miss (Y/N) Master Dick is expecting you." "Thank you" I said as I climbed I to the big car. "Hey you look beautiful" Dick said. "Thanks you too" I blushed.

        As we pulled up I felt many people looking at us. Even the popular girls. They were sad because every time they asked Dick to go to prom with them he ended up rejecting them. They saw me holding hands with Dick and got jealous. I could care less. I was nervous but excited.

Rachel came up to Dick and I with her date. His name was Wally West I think. He goes to Central City from what Rachel told me. Rachel, Wally, and Dick were all good friends. I don't know how they meet each other. All they said was that they kinda work together. Sometimes I feel Rachel hides things from me but I don't know. She's my only good friend.

A slow dance started to play. "May I have this dance Miss (Y/N)?" Dick asked. I giggled, "Sure Mr. Grayson" Rachel and Wally joined us. I felt Dick put his hand around his waist and I put my arms around his neck. "Did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?" He asked. "Well you did like three times today already." I replied. "Well I mean what I say. Your different than the other girls. So ignore them when they are bothering you. Besides they don't have a chance around me. I promise you that." He reassured. "Dick Grayson you are something else." I joked. He chuckled. "I love you (Y/N) (L/N)!" "I love you too!"
