CHAPTER THREE

THOUGHTS

SCARLET EISENBURG’S POV:

The day of my departure, I chose the earliest time. I left when it was barely sunrise, a perfect time for me to leave without so many questions from the others. Kyle, my brother and companion for the trip home, since he would also go home from a business trip from Venice; we decide to go home together. He’s a good brother. We are so close. We are basically inseparable.

The entire time I was at home, it was relaxing experience. My friends back home and I went to the beach. We caught up with our lives. It was a . . . I don’t know how to explain it. It was rejuvenating and peaceful. It was a long time, since I was this relax. It helped me, as they say charge my batteries, my battery being my inspiration.

ALYNA BRIMMS’ POV:

I was walking down the hallway towards the kitchen when I spotted Daria on the other end. She was picking something up from the floor. It looked like a notebook, an ordinary notebook, at first glance. However, as I got near her, I passed the kitchen door and was standing beside her, it was a journal.

The journal was pink with silver and black accents surrounding it. A pen was on the side. It has a feather on the tip. Both the journal and the pen had designs of tinsels of swirls, flowers and butterflies. It’s cute.

I love the tinsels!

I feel it customize, since I haven’t seen one just like it. It even has a cute yet complicated lock that I don’t know how to open. I look at Daria she wasn’t staring at the cover of even at the journal like the moment I saw her, but, was staring at a piece of white paper. She was looking at it as if she was reading something important.

“What is it?” I asked Daria when she look at the journal again now with pity and sympathy in her eyes. She handed me the paper.

“But I think you should sit down when you read it,” she said dragging me to the kitchen where everybody was having breakfast.

When we arrive, there was chorus of “Good mornings” as we also said ours. When I arrived at my seat between Niall and Kelly, Daria indicate that I read the paper, from across the table. The dining table has ten chairs. It is circular so no one was the head or anything. Everyone is filled up except one, between Daria and Harry, that suppose to be Scarlet’s but now Sophia’s.

I unfolded the paper and look at the penmanship. It was Scarlet’s. It was her neat penmanship on the paper. I was surprise. I gasped which made Kelly and Niall look at me. I wasn’t paying attention to them, I was looking at Daria. She indicated I continue.

I read it.

Sitting at the back of the room;

Trying to pay attention to them;

But I just can’t.

Keep thinking of you.

I wish you’re here.

Sitting beside me;

Making me feel real, whole, Me!

I can’t seem to get you out of my mind.

How I can it be?

That, I feel this way;

And you don’t

I know you don’t.
