*Jasmines PoV*

Jasmine stirred, blinking her eyes. she wasnt sure how many days had passed since she had been taken into the caves. All she knew was everytime she had woken, Lana had been there with her arms around her. This time however, she wasnt and Jasmine frowned. She felt a lot stronger now and had managed to stay awake for longer and longer. She didnt feel so different but she knew something was not right.

She sighed and looked around, trying to see if Lana was stood nearby but she didnt see her. Instead she could see one of her and Lanas old school friends.

She smiled warmly "John" she spoke his name quietly, but he could still hear her. He returned her smile with one just as warm.

"Jasmine, hey there girl." He had known Jasmine for almost as long as he had Lana and as glad as he was to see her, he was on the same page as Lana that she should have been safe and away from the mess that was now the island. But he refused to show her those feelings - what she needed now was her friends not any questions and badgering.

"Where's Lana?" she asked, lifting herself to be raised slightly, placing her albows in the blankets that lay below her.

John walked slowly to her and stood by her feet. "She just went to check on a few things - she'll be back soon." Lana had given him strict instructions not to mention anything about.. well anything. She wanted to explain what and he respected that.

The sound of footsteps were running the tunnel and a few moments later Lana entered. On seeing Jasmine propped up on her elbows she smiled softly. "Glad to see you decided to join us in a way that just involve the odd grunt." Lana said the words with a touch of humour - she had always teased Jasmine and to do anything else would not have felt natural.

Without a word John slipped from the room and Lana walked over to Jasmine. She knelt beside her and pushed a few strands of hair off her forehead. Jasmine smiled at Lanas touch, and she placed her own hand on Lanas cheek.

"Ive missed you so much." Jasmine whispered, and a tear slide from her eye. Jasmine had always been the soft and nice one. She had been well known for having a heart of gold.

"I've missed you too baby." Lana said, stroking Jasmines cheek to catch the tear that had fallen.

*Lanas PoV*

Lana held Jasmine in her arms, even though the other women had nearly reached full strength, she stoll felt the need to protect her and the only way she could do that was by holding her, making sure she was safe both from anything in the pyshical world but also in case any demons enter her sleep. Jasmine had been there for 6 days now and she was stronger each day. Lana sighed and pressed a kiss to Jasmines neck. The time had come to get some answers and she just prayed Jasmine would play ball.

"Jasmine sweetheart, we need to talk" she whispered in Jasmines ear. She half prayed that Jasmine had fallen back to sleep but there was no luck. Jasmine nodded at the words and turned to face her.

"I know." she said, looking so vulnerable that all Lana wanted to do was take her into her arms and run away into the sunset.

Lana slipped her arms away from Jasmines body and she stood, walking over to the side of the wall. She took a deep breath. They spoke to each new comer as soon as they were strong enough to cope with such a talk. It was the only way they had of knowing anything that was going on both at the lab complex but also in the outside world.. on the mainland and beyond.

"How did you get here Jasmine?" she asked softly, hoping that she would be able to finish this conversation without seeing red and doing something she would regret.

"I never gave up Lana. Never, not once. They said the island had erupted, that there was a volcano and the entire island had died but I didnt beleive them. There were no reports of an ash cloud, nothing to indicate that a natural diaster had happened on the island.

I dropped out of university, I lost you and all my family. I sent letters, hoping they would make their way here to you and mum and dad. But I never got a reply

I kept replaying thay conversation we had that day over and over in my head. Oh Lana, I though youd died and Id never got a chance to tell you that I loved you one last time." By now the tears were following freely. Lana wanted nothing more then to walk over and hold her, tell her she didn't need to relive all this again but she couldnt. She had to allow Jasmine to talk and she had to know how she had got here.

"For almost 3 years ive done nothing but try to find you and find out what happened. I knew deep down you were alive or I would have felt it, but at the same time I couldnt trust that feeling. What if it was wrong and you had died? I always had hope Lana. Not once." she took a deep breath before carrying on. "It was about two weeks before I came here. I received a call from some health company who said they could bring me home Lana, they knew you, mum, Dad. They knew things no one knew. I had no choice - I had to come and try to find you."

Jasmine took another deep breath. She couldnt remember the last time she had spoke this much. She raised a hand her temple and rubbed it softly.

Lana stood still, listening to what Jasmine was saying. With every word that Jasmine said, she wanted to hunt that bastard Angel down and make him pay. Someone had approuched Jasmine, they had to have known Her and Lanas relationship or how else would Jasmine just happen to be not only on the island, but changed the same way Lana had been 3 years before.

"Jasmine baby. We can do this tomorrow." Lana couldnt beat seeing Jasmine like this any longer, she just wanted to stop the hurt and pain she was feeling. She felt like a class A bitch for making her talk but she knew she had to. But she could also wait another day.

Jasmine shaked her head to this. Now she had started she was scared that if she stopped, she'd never talk about it again and she just had to let Lana know what had happened.

Lana listened as Jasmine carried on telling her story, how she had come to the Island on a plane with 14 other people. Lana had frowned at this. She had known that the scientists had started to bring people in from the mainland but 15.. Jeez things were hotting up big time.

"All I kept thinking about on that plane was I was going to get to see you. When we touched down, I knew something wasnt right. Me and the others were seperated into groups. I was the only person in mine. I.. I.." Jasmine stopped talking, she buried her head into her eyes, almost curled into a ball.

Lanas resolve finally broke and she went to her, pulling her into a hug. She patted Jasmines hair, whispered into her ear how much she loved her and how proud of her she was for speaking about this to her. What she didnt say however was what Lanas heart was saying, and that was telling her right now to go and kill every damn scientist on the island.

After some time, Jasmine raised her head and looked into Lanas eyes through her own teared stained ones.

"I have one question Lana and I want you to answer truthfully.. What are we? I know a change has happened in me but I cant pin point it." She was speaking quietly and rushed, like she didnt truely want to know what Lanas reply would be.

"Jasmine.. For want of a better description, we're a man made Vampire."
