It was three in the morning, on a Thursday. A pounding knock was on my bedroom door. The only person who had a key to my hosue was Mike, so I ran to the door and jumped into his arms.
"Nikki! We just got home and the first thing I needed to do was see you." Mike squeezed me. "Michael Christopher Fuentes! I misssed you soso much!" I couldn't even comprehend he was there.
"I missed you too! C'mon, let's go see the guys." He pulled me acorss the street.
Tony was the first to great me, "Nikki!" He said, pulling me away from Mike. Then Jaime, who was half asleep, "Good afternoon muh lady." I laughed, "Oh boy Jaime, you better get yourself to sleep." Then Vic who was lseeping on the couch looked up, "Oh hey Nikki." I laughed.
"I'll let you guys rest, I'll take you out to dinner tomorrow." I said. They all lit up.
I was almsot to my front door when Mike came running after me. "Hey mind if I crash with you tonight? I'm tired of sleeping with those three." He looked at me. "You know you're always welcomed!" We walked upstairs and laid on the bed and fell asleep.
At nine in the morning, my Borda Collie, Sebring, woke me up to go out. "Shhh! Sebring hush!" I loudly whispered trying to step around Mike.
"Mmrgh" Mike said groggly. "Shh, you're still tired, rest. I'll make you some breakfast." I soothed and kissed his forehead. "Mmmk!" Mike smiled.
It was a cold winter morning so I slipped on a hoodie and left my pj pants on. It was freezing and lightly snowing. I sat down on the front step. Sebring came over and nuzzled against me.
"We're happy now huh Sebring? The boys are home. Especially Mike, You missed Mike too huh?" Sebring barked in return. It's gonna be hard when they have to leave agian. We'll be alone again. But I have you, until Mike and the guys get back agian." I smiled at my puppy.
"Echem." Mike cleared his throat. I almost fell off the step from his scare. "I'm really sorry you have to be alone while we're gone. I promsie, tonight, tomorrow, and everyday possible I'll spend with you." Mikes eyes glistened like the first time we talked. Sebring barked. "Oh yeah, and of course you too Sebring!" We both laughed while he pet her.
I realized Mike wasn't wearing a shirt, Ohmylord. "Mike you must be freezing! Let's get inside. C'mon Sebring!" I said hugging my best friend. "Want some pancakes or what?" I asked.
"Yes please, I'm hungry!" Mike said liike a little child. "Go wake up the boys, I'll make them some too." I laughed "Kay, c'mon Sebring, let's go get some losers." Mike winked at me and ran out the door with Sebring, still shirtless.
Next thing I know my hose was full of hungry rockstars. One by one they came and kissed my cheek. "Morning!" Jaime said taking a banana. "Don't you mean, 'Afternoon my lady'?" Tony said laughing. "Morning!" Vic said playing with Sebring. "Oh boys, I hope you don't have any plans, we're going to that new fancy restaurant tonight. I expect tuxedos!" I laughed.
"Yeah, only if you wear a fress of some sort!" Mike yelled back. The guys rarely seen me in dresses. "Fine! Here foods ready. Eat up!" I handed the boys a stack of pancakes.
"Can I feed some to Sebring?" Tony looked at me pleading. "I know you will even if I said no." He laughed, and we all watche her gobble down her few pieces. "Now hurry up an get out, I gotta go get a damn dress. I exclaimed, glaring at them all.
"Awh C'mon! I gotta see you try dresses on!" Tony said pratically jumping out of his seat. Mike nodded his head in agreement, his mouth full of pancakes. "Ha, no. his is a once in a while thing, you can wait." Everybody laughed.
"Fine! But we're taking Sebring!" Jaime said, leaving with my dog at his side. "Vic, make sure my dog stays safe until I get home." I rolled my eyes. "Don't worry, she'll be fine." Vic smiles and waved walking out the door.
"Welp! I expect to see and actual dress Ma'am." Tony said, putting his and Jaime's plates in the sink. He hugged me and left. "Mike, make sure my baby is safe!" I yelled at himtaking his plates. He squeezed me. "I'm excited to see your dress. And don't worry, Sebring will be fine. " Mike kissed my cheek and walked across the street.
Those boys. I worry.
