Yuri's POV

Of all the places I had ever been, I had never thought this would be my safe haven. A school such as this? It was nothing. Old brick that was cracking along the sides and windows that always seemed to be grimy even after just being washed; why was this my place to run to?

My parents had sent me off on my way after my shift yesterday. Their old shop closed it's doors for the day as I had skipped home roger ready for the semester awaiting me. With bags already packed I had been left waiting annoyingly until the time was right. Waiting for the clock to struck five so I could run like a scared little kitten with it's tail tucked between it's legs.

Run I had, and now here I stood. Having slept well in my dormitory for the first night of many I was refreshed and ready to face the day. My uniform was pristine and as clean as a whistle. It had even been ironed by yours truly at five in the morning. Shining shoes tapped along the ground as I slowly made my way towards the front door. After all, today had to go perfectly.

New semester, new classes, new life. None of the shenanigans of last semester or the break were there to meet me. I was as free as a bird without a cage.

Or so I thought.

Just as I had taken one step up onto the paved steps, there was a harsh thud against my left shoulder. A small 'oof' left my lips as I stumble forward on impact. I barely had time to hiss out a warning before the person had rushed past. My eyes lifted to see shining silver hair before the front double doors were pulled open.

Thus began the long road of my second semester.

Wind hit my face as fast as a tornado, blowing my hair from my forehead in the process. A moment later the smell hit me. It was a sweet smell. Vanilla cupcakes or fresh strawberries; I couldn't tell. Either way it made my mouth water.

My feet had never paused in their advancements, so when the person paused in front of the open doors I was able to pass him. Even with the sudden surprise attraction to the person I kept a straight face. There was no reason in drawing unnecessary attention to myself. After a few nights ago I definitely didn't need it.

"You should watch were you walk." I mutter softly as I pass. Ocean blue eyes flicker to meet my own. The man from the shop.

My feet pause in their movements. It seemed as if my mind went blank for a moment, too engrossed with those blue eyes to do much else than stare. The other man didn't seem to be able to look away either. His blue eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips and downwards. Analyzing me no doubt. It would be a lie to say I wasn't doing the same.

He seemed much different than he had at the shop. His hair wasn't half as messy and his eyes weren't half as bright. Not to mention the overbearing dog smell had been taken care of, probably by the suppressants I had given him the day before. Clothing hung loosely on his shoulders. Our school uniform fit the werewolf unnaturally well. It seemed every muscle hit the fabric just right. Even the tie fit this kid's style.

"You're from the shop!" The silver haired male suddenly sputtered our airlessly. His breathes were coming out in gasps, as if he had ran here. Judging from the small beads of sweat on his forehead he most definitely had. "Damn, you look even more dead than you did yesterday."

"Well yeah." I retort, stuffing my hands in my pockets. His voice was smooth even as he insulted me. I blew it to the side, however, too interested to pull away just yet. The slight anger I had felt towards the man that bumped my shoulder vanished as he spoke so childlessly. He was a pitiful werewolf. It made my lip twitch upwards in a rare half smile. "People usually don't just work in a supershop like that."

The silver haired male sighs, shoulders visibly slumping as he steps past me. As he moves closer I simply take a step back. He passes me without so much as a word, his shoes tapping against the tile floor as he steps inside the building. No one was around at this time. Even for the first day people weren't this early. The only reason I was here early was to speak to one of my teachers.

"I'm assuming you're new, right?" I speak up, eyes scanning over the male as he steps forwards. I take note of his graceless moves. His feet stumble over one another as he walks. If you caught him at the wrong time he would go down stupid easy.

"Fuck off." The student didn't even spare me a glance as he started to walk down a random hallway. Perhaps it wasn't random to him, but I hadn't ever been down it. That hallway was meant for seniors only. It held advanced studies and mentors. We didn't get those until our third year.

His curse was once again ignored. After an entire semester of anger driven werewolves throwing curse words and fists every which way, I had gotten used to it. Towards the end of the semester I had become one of the tricksters that egged on distractions. Less glasswork for us, right?

"Most werewolves have suppressants before they arrive." I mutter, taking in the sudden tension of his muscles. My eyes flicker to the small space of visible skin from behind him. I could almost see the blood pumping through his veins. All that separated me from it was a thin veil of skin and silky smooth hair. I could easily just-

"Don't call me that. My name is Viktor. That is my only title and all I shall be known as." I flinch at the sudden words, my ears ringing with the emotion in it. My steps slow until I come to rest in the middle of the academy hallway.

"Well okay Viktor. I advise you to stay away from that hallway. Unless of course you've been given a mentor ahead of time." I turn on my heel as Viktor angrily flips his head to glare at me. Those blue eyes were far to sharp for me to handle. "You don't want to annoy the old man."

"What the hell do you know?" Viktor growls lowly at my back as I head for my old math class. I had to hold back my chuckle at the husky tone he had suddenly taken up. The werewolf was obviously on edge. Perhaps he was new to all of this?

Rather curious...
