"Bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when you are scared half to death. Be brave to take risks because nothing can substitute the experiences you have gain in your life"

Her eyes flickered open slowly to see where she had been. With the amount of bright light illuminating her sight, Addie reached up placing her arms over her eyes allowing it to succumb into darkness for a while. Slowly, she moved her fingers away from one by one to adjust her sight according to the bright surroundings. Her eyes shifted from the left to the right only coming eye to eye to white ceilings with a long LED light on it. Breathing in the cold air surrounding her, she heard the sound of beeping machines nearby.

When her eyes had finally managed to cope with the light and surroundings, she noticed that there were wires attached to her arms including some bandages on both her arms and thighs, even her forehead. She groaned softly as she tried to push herself up. There were many questions running in her mind. Why is she in the hospital with tubes all over? Her eyes lingered around to seek for anyone. Then, she caught sight of a doctor walking into her room so she pushed herself up calling out for him.

"Why are there tubes all over my body? I am perfectly fine!" Addie asked and stated half questioning while protesting.

"You are terribly injured. Just lay down." A voice spoke from behind even before the doctor could answer her question.

Both Addie and the doctor shifted their glances towards the door. Her gaze met those familiar brown eyes of her elder brother, Andrew Lore. Her first instinct was to run but she couldn't with all those tubes attacking her arms. Fear ripped through her nerves and mind again. It was like all the exhaustion from the past two weeks return like a massive flood. Is he trying to kill her? Nope, isn't he supposed to be dead?

She battled with her mind as she recalled the image of the man's body falling onto the sharp wood of the door. Addie didn't move but her stare was fixated on Andrew. Is this even the real or the fake Andrew? The doctor gazed up at Addie and then back to Andrew. There must be something these two siblings had to talk about. Picking up the files on the table, he offered them both a warm understanding smile.

"I will leave both of you alone." The doctor said pacing out of the room closing the door silently.

Addie didn't say a word. Her eyes gazed up onto his head and down towards his feet trying to seek for a proper fact that this is really her elder brother, Andrew. She knew that this is a hospital and whatever happened or the man had planned on killing her, Addie was pretty sure that he will not succeed. There would be people here that she could get help from. Addie watched as Andrew took his place on the chair next to her. Andrew saw the familiar sight of confusion in Addie's eyes; the familiar sight of confusion and anger. Andrew offered her a warm assuring smile that it is the real him. He reached out handing her a paper bag.

"Come on Addie. This is the real Andrew. Do you remember me? Or did you lost your memory?" Andrew asked worriedly, half-joking, half in a slightly mocking expression to break the silence. He could see a slight curve of a smile on his sister's face.

"I remember you, Andrew. Of course, I remember you, the brother who always love to mock the silence of his younger sister. Are you even the real or the deceiving Andrew?" Addie asked reaching out to take the bag casting a playful glance towards her brother.

A smile formed on Andrew's lips as he breathes in the air pointing the bag his sister was holding and pinched his nose gently saying; "My baby sister. That is coffee in there, dark and black coffee without sugar just like our souls. I only bought one and even if it suits my lifestyle I do not drink coffee. I can tell you that I do not drink plain dark coffee. I drink the ones blended with a large amount of milk with whipped cream and caramel." Andrew said and he added; "I noticed that you bought dark chocolate without cream."
