Missing: Jai Brooks

It's been 3 hours since Jai ran off. We've called Skip, he's not there. We called James, he's not there. We called Teddy, he's not even there.

So basically we're all crapping ourselves.

"Where is he?!" I exclaimed, looking out of the window. It was now dark, and we didn't have a clue. We thought he'd come back after an hour.. But he didn't.

"He'll come back." Beau tried to reassure, sitting on the other side of the windowsill.

"But whenever he's in a huff, he's usually back by now. He's not at any of the boys' houses, Daniel said he's not at the park, he won't answer his phone, so where is he?" I sighed.

"Who is where?" Mum said sternly from the door, holding some shopping bags and dripping wet from the rain.

Ah shiz.

We're in trouble.

We explained to Mum everything that happened at school, trying not to mention Jai. Of course that was a massive fail, although she did give me a high five.

"So where's Jai then?" She asked.

"We don't know." Beau said, but it came out as a question.

"Okay, don't worry. It's late, you three should go to bed." She said. We said goodnight, then parted to our rooms.

"You two can come in my room if you want." Beau offered. "I know you're quite worried."

"Thanks Beau, but I'm going to call Avah." I smiled, and walked into my room. I grabbed my phone and dialled Avah's number.

Avah: "Any news?"

Me: "Nope, he's not at any of the boy's houses either."

Avah: "Have you told Gina?"

Me: "Yeah, she's not too pleased."

Avah: "Understandable.. How's Luke coping?"

Me: "He's okay for now."

Avah: "Look dude, it's 11pm, I'm going to sleep, night."

Me: "Night." I said, then cut off the call.

I tried to sleep, but couldn't. I kept rolling over, couldn't get comfy, and was too cold.

I really hate sleepless nights.

I opened up my laptop onto the school chat website, to see people talking about Jai.

'ReeceGeynes: Did u hear about Jai Brooks in Year 11?'

'RoxieJackson: The one who was peed off at that Jessie chick?'

'ReeceGeynes: Yeh, apparently he's went missing.'

'AaronGomez: And how would you know?'

'ReeceGeynes: I find out stuff.'

I decided to join in.

'JessieBrooks: Keep your nose out, you don't know anything.'

'ReeceGeynes: Shut it this doesn't concern u.'

'JessieBrooks: Even though he's my brother? Yeah, I'll think you'll find it does concern me babe.'

'LukeBrooks: Everyone stfu and get to sleep, Jessie is right, it's none of your business.'

'DanielSayounie: I'm loving this.'

'BeauBrooks: Haha same.'

'JamesYammouni: HE DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE.'

'BeauBrooks: I USED TO.'

'JessieBrooks: JAMES STOP WATCHING MEAN GIRLS.'

'ReeceGeynes: I swear we were in an argument?'

'JamesYammouni: YOU CAN'T SIT WITH US.'

'DanielSayounie: JAMES I SWEAR YOU REMIND ME OF DAMIEN.'

'LukeBrooks: OMG IKR?!'

'ReeceGeynes: I give up with these people.'

'JamesYammouni: OH SO NOW I'M ALMOST TO GAY TO FUNCTION?'

'DanielSahyounie: You hang round with us don't you?'

'BeauBrooks: He's got a point.'

'AvahSamuels: You guys are nut jobs.'

'JessieBrooks: AVAH SAVE ME FROM THESE NUMNUTS.'

'AvahSamuels: I would if it weren't 11 at night babe!'

'ReeceGeynes: EW.'

'JessieBrooks: SHUT IT REGINA.'

'LukeBrooks: WELL DONE JAMES NOW YOU HAVE JESSIE STARTED WITH MEAN GIRLS. I'M OUT.'

'LukeBrooks signed out'

'JessieBrooks: HALLELUJAH.'

'BeauBrooks: JESSIE MUM SAYS GO TO SLEEP.'

'JessieBrooks: You're not even talking to Mum.'

'BeauBrooks: ... Um.. BEAU OUT.'

'JamesYammouni: ... okay...'

'DanielSayounie: I STARTED THE COCKATOO FACE.'

'BeauBrooks signed on'

'BeauBrooks: OH NO YOU DIDN'T.'

'DanielSayounie: OH YES I DID.'

'BeauBrooks: OH NO YOU DIDNT'

'DanielSayounie: OH YES I DID.'

'BeauBrooks: NO YOU BLOODY WELL DIDN'T.'

'JessieBrooks: IMA LEAVE BEFORE THIS GETS NASTEH.'

I closed off my laptop and decided to sneak downstairs to get a drink, without waking anyone up.

Hold up..

There's someone down there..

I hid on the 3rd from last step and eavesdropped on Mum's and the man's conversation.

"So what is it you'd like to report?" The man said.

"A missing person." Mum sighed.

"Description?"

"He's about 5'7, short brown hair, two freckles below his right eye, brown eyes, quite skinny, wearing a school uniform, I don't know his weight but it's not that much, he has a twin upstairs, should I bring him down?" My mum asked.

"Just a picture would be fine, ma'am." The man said. I heard mum typing something on her phone, which probably would've been a picture from google images. I heard the man say goodbye, then the door slammed shut, and my mum sighed. I snook back upstairs and ran into my room before anyone could see me, and I fell asleep quickly.

The next morning I was woken up by the smell of bacon, and Luke jumping on me, shouting something about Jai and TV.

Woah, what?! Jai is on TV?!

I ran downstairs to see Beau cooking bacon from the kitchen, whilst everyone watched the TV.

'It has been reported that 17 year old member from the Janoskians, Jai Brooks, was declared missing last night, after an argument with his siblings. He hasnt been seen since around 6 yesterday evening, and police are begging for people with information to come forward.'

Oh chiz. This just got serious.
