His promise

~Ashlyns POV~(Two months later)

I grabbed Luthers hand as we crossed the street to the park. He smiled at me when we saw a three little girls run past us, all of them matching.

"Would it be bad if I made both of them match?" I said. Luther looked at me incredulously. "No!! A man needs his dignity!!"Luther said pounding a fist on his chest.

"Who says there's gonna be a boy? They could both be girls" I said smiling. We walked past a small fountain that had a bunch of kids jumping in it and playing.

"Well I will make sure one of them is a badass then" He smiled to himself and swung our hands back and forth. I looked down, This time I couldnt see my toes, my stomach was huge.

The doctor told me that they were due anyday now and im already extremely moody. Just today I threw my sandwich at a 14yr old boy because he asked if he could have half. NEVER ask for my food, I'm protective of it.

"Im pretty sure that they will both be girly girls" I said looking at him with a serious face. "Nope, at least one will come out liking the feeling of a gun in thier hands" My hand shot up and slapped Luther upside the head.

"My babys will be nowhere near a gun!!" I whispher/yelled at him. He chuckled and smirked at me. "Well then" he pouted in defeat, eyebrows scrunched up in a very adorable way.

Me and Luther have been going out for a while now, he treats me nice, never yells at me and he cares about my well being.

For example he didnt let me have junk food or soda since we started dating, only water,fruits and vegetables because 'Its good for the babys' .I cant help but wonder if Eric would have acted this way.

I flinched when I saw a soccerball hurling right at my face.Luther jumped in front of me, his body shielding me and the ball hitting his chest.

I stepped back from behind him to see him dribbling the soccerball and then kicking it back towards the group of kids. I stared at him with wide eyes and my mouth agape.

"Used to play soccer in middle school, and then joined the team in high school" He smiled at me and lifted his hand and shut my mouth."Dont want to catch flies" he smirked and walked away from me.

The cocky bastard.

He guided me towards a bench and we both sat down,I sighed as I watched the little kids play.

"they are getting big,"Luther said,Scooting closer and placing his hand on my stomach."Soon they will question about thier father."Luther's statement took me offguard.

"what are you saying," I said, glaring at him."That I should go back?"I growled and scooted away from him."No, you and me both know about the genes of Eric woods,he is a Halfblood,How do you think that will effect them?" He said and stared at my stomach.

"What? are you implying that my children will be bloodthirsty demons?!how dare yo-"I was cut off."they will be halfbloods"He finalized.

Anger built up in me, my wolf Isabel growling in a feral way.Will they really be like Eric?I dont want that.

"What am I gonna do?" I said, a sob welling up in my throat."this is what your going to do, your going to raise these children, and then when they get to a good age, show them who their father is"Luther said looking me in the eyes.

"I Cant go back there" I said shaking my head, fear scratching its way up my spine.

"We know nothing of how to handle halfbloods, Eric has been a halfblood since he was born, he taught himself how to control himself since he was five, you and I both know that he knows how to handle halfbloods, better then anybody else" Luther said his voice lowering a bit at the end of his sentence.

I thought for a moment, and realised he was right. Who knows how to handle halfbloods better then an actual half blood. I Could easily go to Eric when the time was right, it was just the fear and betrayal holding me back like a bunch of rope.

"Ok" I said. Luther looked at me, his smile fading before he frowned completely." We have a problem,"Luther said."What about the Blue Danire pack?"Holy shit I cant believe that I forgot they were after me, there certainly haven't been many threats, but probably because they dont know where I am, hopefully they dont know im pregnant".

I curled up into Luther's side,my eyes watering up."Luther?" I said, my heart skipping."yes?" He said, pulling my hair back.

"If anything ever happens to me after the children are born,can you promise me that you will take care of them and protect them from harm?" I said, the dam in my eyes finally breaking, as a single tear slid down my cheeks.

"I promise Ashlyn" Luther said hugging me closer to his chest.

Eric's wolf was calling out to me, feeling my sadness and trying to calm me down, but even the little comfort I felt, I still knew deep inside, I would always be that same abused girl, the same girl who was rejected,abused by her mate and that same girl who cried herself to sleep.

But although I knew this, I knew I was way more. I was the girl who took every punch with bravery, im the same girl who stood up to her mate and moved on from rejection. Im the same girl who made my own happiness, I am the same girl who made a smile out of a frown, I was the exact same girl who never gave up. So if im still me, then who are you? We all have a past and then we have a future, we cant reach our future without fixing our present. And right now I need to fix my present, so that my children can have a future.

**later**

I stepped inside the house, smiling as Naveah approached me, she was Luthers older sister. Her eyes were exactly like Luther's and her hair was definitely darker.She was slim and mostly the quiet one in the house, Not.

"Ashley!!!" Naveah yelled her lungs off and ran to me, wrapping her arms around me. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN GURLL!!" she screamed and twirled us in circles.

I laughed as she pulled away and stared at my stomach. "We have a guest here today, She is the Alphas cousin, her name is" Naveah was cut off by a loud boom of laughter. "OH, SHADOW!!You haven't changed!!" We all walked toward the kitchen and entered, the Alpha was sitting at a table, and a woman was next to him. She had extremly white hair that remimded me of Elsa from the movie 'frozen'.Her eyes were black pits that studied me. she was sitting slouched but when she saw me she straighted her back glared at my stomach.

"I see that you have the destined one here,"She spoke in a smooth voice."I finally get to meet the woman who's children save the world"she said.

"Shut up shadow, she does not know of the legend"Randall said. I stared at both of them in curiosity, then Luther walked in. "I thought you were going to tell her!!" Shadow glared at Randall, Naveah and Luther, who all bowed thier heads.

Tell me what?" I was gonna tell her today but-"Luther started. "YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD HER WHEN SHE GOT HERE!!"Shadow stood abruptly and shoved Luther back.

"What the hell is going on?" I snapped, all eyes focused on me.

'Indeed what is going on?' Isabel said with curiosity.

'I Don't know, but im going to find out' I replied and shut off the link.

I'm so Sorry for the extremly long wait for an update. I hope you all understand what I meant when I said before that Life was getting harder. I will definetly be more attentive now, and ill try to update every week or two because of school and family problems. I hope you all understand.

I also know most of you are mad/impatient so you stopped reading this book. If it makes any of you angry people feel better, I stayed up the whole night yesterday and today writing this, so I didnt sleep at all.

btw, what do you guys think of this chapter? Should it be longer? who's POV next?

I will be updating my story as much as I can, And those of you with enough decency to actually vote/comment for this chapter, thanks for understanding.
