chapter 1

Blue Pearl's POV

My name is Blue Pearl and I'm a gem from homeworld

I have short periwinkle colored hair with bangs which covers my eyes. Sometimes I don't like anyone looking or staring at me straight in the eyes, it sometimes scare me. Thinking they might want to do something horrible to me..

I am a shy and quiet gem, performing my duties mostly without speaking. Most instances, where I speak is when my Diamond talks to me first, but that doesn't happen mostly...

For millennia, I have been traveling around with My Diamond. I respect her, constantly bowing in her presence and saluting her. I follow every command that My Diamond gives me, though I'm not that enthusiastic as Yellow Pearl, but my Diamond doesn't need me to be enthustic she needs me for her requirements and every needing's for a successful colony. Then one day, she ordered me to find Pink Diamond, which was further away from her colony... The Earth

This is how it started

"Pearl" she called with her calming voice

I looked up at her saluting the diamond salute "yes my diamond?"

"Can you please get Pink for me?" She asks nicely "she is on Earth with her palanquin, and her Pearl"

 On Earth? This is the first time I travel without my diamond, on further notice. "Yes, My Diamond" I agree, saluting and bowing

In an open breeze, I felt something that wasn't right, I felt that something was staring at me. I turned and... a horrifying monster approached me. (Not technically a monster, its just a gem mutant, Blue Pearl doesn't know the threats that is on Earth, so she considered the gem as a monster. Even though it really wasn't, so... yeah) 

I slowly stepped away, while it came more closer. I didn't noticed where I was backing up on, then I tripped. I was too weak to get up, I waited for my ending. Luckily, a Pearl came, with his sword. He swung his arm and cuts the monster in half. I was surprised, knowing that a Pearl could do that. Pearl's are meant to serve not to play with monstrous gems like that!

 He might be a defective. He noticed me behind, then came closer "a-are you alright?" He asked, lending out one hand.

I was too scared to answer, I thought he was a defective. 

We remained silent 'til Pink Diamond came. 

"Pearl, what's going on?" she asks, the Pearl quickly turned around and bowed in order of her presence 

"My Diamond" he greeted saluting "it seemed that this Pearl is lost, and I think she is Blue Diamond's Pearl" he gestured to me. 

He's right! How does he know? I never seen him before. "You..." I started "your... your her Pearl?!" I asked confusedly, he then stood up straight and looked at me, they both looked at each other then laughed 

"Surprised much?" Pink Diamond asked with a giggling voice, kneeling down to meet me 

"Your not the only one, every gem that encountered me also asked the same thing. I simply said, that I'm more different than the other Pearl's" he proudly told, smiling at... me...? Is he?

 "And that's true" Pink Diamond said with a soft voice 

"Now, may I help you with what your Diamond requires?" The Pearl asks so kindly, smiling. Is he smiling at me? Again with that question

 I blushed. 

"Are you alright?" He asks again, I looked at Pink Diamond. I remembered, My Diamond needs Pink Diamond! "Yes of course!" I quickly stood up, and saluted "Your Diamond is needed by My Diamond for a meeting in their colonies immediately, I'm sorry for the delayance Pink Diamond" I said with my normal quiet voice, but I said it more faster and more on I was scared. "Thats ok, I'll go right now, come on Pearl" she said happily, and mostly relaxed. She let me pass? Shes the most merciful Diamond I met. "May I escort you on the way back?" Her Pearl asks, I blushed. "Uhm... it's called a first impression" I didn't noticed I was looking at him. I then nodded for agreement. Why did I blushed? Why did I blushed? This is not fit for a Pearl to act! Then I realized the ship left me, I have no where else to go if I didnt agree with him. So I went inside Pink Diamond's dropship. "You better hold on tight" the Pearl warned me whispering, why? And also why is Pink Diamond handling this? She just started the engine, and we flew faster than I knew, We reached Yellow Diamond's colony, where they held the meeting. The Pearl stood up, and seemed alright but me. I shivered in fear. I couldn't even stand up on my own "here let me help you" he helped me up from my seat, I looked deep in his eyes. Seeing happiness, and joy, and luck. "I'm not that intimidating, am I?" He asked me, my face was flushed. I feel my face heat up "uhm... n-no. Well yes, but..." he laughed "ok, but we better get on now". We walked inside, there we could see Yellow Pearl standing. I stood beside Yellow Pearl, followed by Pink Diamond's Pearl who was smiling. Is he smiling at me? Or laughing at me? Because from my face right now, I think it is worthy of laughter. Pretty much I'm in between, good thing White Pearl isnt here, or her diamond. Speaking of Diamond's, I wonder whats happening inside, probably talking about their colonies, they all have the right to take a break but... Diamonds are tough, they dont take breaks.

Pink Diamond's POV

I walked inside the room "ah Pink!, your here!" Blue greeted happily, now I'm really curious. Why do they want me to be here? Also why is Blue so happy? Thats at first "Hi Blue!, hi Yellow!" I greeted, Blue simply gave me a giggle, but Yellow still frowned. He doesnt seem so happy to see me. "So whats this meeting about?" I asked curiously, also giving them a curious look. As I sat down at my small throne "this is about your colony" Yellow spoke with her natural disrespectful voice, but she's older than me so she has the right to talk to me like that. Like an old giraffe "-you need to let go of it" she added. My eyes widen when she said those words "NO!" I shouted standing up before my throne. "Excuse me?" She asked hessitated at my word "I WILL NOT ALLOW IT!" I shouted. I feel my tears falling from my eyes "Pink, colonies are made to be destroyed. Mostly like you planet, filled with organics and living creatures" he said, with discust on his face. "SO WHAT? It's MY colony, doesn't that mean it's also my property?" I have a point there "that means I should be the one to know what to do with it, I don't need some gem to tell me what to do with it" I was burating in flames, I'm not like them that wastes other planet just to make gem kind. "ENOUGH PINK!" Blue spoke, making her hand like a stop sign, that made me stop speaking. "You are a Diamond, embrace it, and mostly you need to act like one!" She said angrily, this is also the first time I saw her raise her voice at me. Anger, sadness, and fear combined, I was too confused to say anything else. I jumped off my throne, and marched down to the door. Wiping all my tears away, I didn't want to stay inside there forever "come on Pearl" I grabbed him heading towards my room, where I could get some private time... with my Pearl of course

Yellow Pearl's POV

Pink Diamond walked out the room stomping, and grabbed her pearl with her. Before her pearl could leave, he winked at Blue "we'll meet again someday" after he said that, Blue blushed. I have a feeling that they might get together in the future

Blue Pearl's POV

He just winked at me. "We'll meet again someday" those words were stuck inside my head. Then I came back to the fact that he winked at me, I was blushing. "Your blushing" Yellow Pearl noticed, I his my red face and I was embarassed. No gem has made me feel like this before, until he came...

Pink Diamond's POV

"Ugh! THEY ALWAYS DO THIS! Why don't they do this to their own colonies? They have dozens qnd  I only have one! Why are they so annoying?" I asked, I was already making a mess in my room. The pebbles were all hiding, they were propbably surprised from my tantrum. "My diamond?" My pearl called. I looked at him, then I felt calm. I sat down and sighed "I have the feeling that... they dont trust me enough, they dont trust me to have a colony, they dont trust me to be a successful ruler, or even a conqueror" I frowned. Pearl sat down beside me, and held my shoulder "of course they do My Diamond" he tried to reason, but I didnt believe what he was telling me "and hows that?" I asked still worried, and a bit hessitated "because if they don't-" he stoped and smiled "they wouldnt have gave you a colony" he added. Why is my Pearl so smart? I proudly asked inside my thoughts. I smiled at him "hey your right, thanks Pearl your the best" I hugged him, as he hugged back. "Hey, remember when you suggested I change my form to see the kindergarten?" I asked excited, he nodded in response "how is that related to having a colony, my diamond?" He asks giving me a confused look "well... what if I were to tell you... that we have to rebel against homeworld to save Earth!" When I mentioned those words, I felt pride flowing. He was surprised, I mean a Diamond rebelling against her home planet? "What?!" He asked. He couldnt imagine a Diamond having a dull colony, but he also couldnt imagine a Diamond being a rebel. "Think about it, you, me. Starting over in a planet, full of life and joy in it?" I asked my eyes turned into stars, and I smiled widely, he was silent "so what do you say?" I asked to break the silence "I would like to do what you wish my Diamond" he encourages himself for me. "Oh Pearl, your the best" I hugged her, as she hugged me back happily. I broke the hug "promise me to keep this as a secret?" I asked with pride and joy in my eyes, holding his hand. "I promise" he agreed. "I trust you Pearl, now I'm known as Rose Quartz" I reformed after I said my new name, and hope they wont find out

Rose's POV

"And we won't be Diamond saluting because were rebels. Also called as the Crystal Gems" I said with pride surrounding my face, she looked around confused "you already thought of a name for this rebellion?" He asked, smiling awkwardly "uhuh, do you like it?" I asked stars in my eyes, "yes!" I smiled
This rebellion starts now, I wont let them hurt the Earth or any of its living creatures, this is a new begining with a new life. But I also know that Pearl wants to be together with Blue's Pearl, I just ruined his life.
