The Curse of The Geanie

I asked to never cry

but I found no pain in murder

I asked to fall in love

but it never was returned

I asked to be immortal

but nothing stayed forever

I asked for her to lose it all

but everything was burned

I asked that I be wealthy

but that can never buy it all

I asked that I be beautiful

but jealousy made them cruel

I asked that I could fly

but I asked not to spare the fall

I asked her back to life

but no one believed our tale

I asked not to be lonely

but few of them were kind

I asked that every wish come true

but I never could feel honesty

I asked that life be perfect

but I had nothing left to find

I asked to set the geanie free

and that has left me happy
