Chapter 7

Chloe's POV☯

I couldn't swim because I was all tied up. I heard footsteps and laughing in the dock above my head but nobody was trying to help me. I struggled and squirmed and I was almost at the point where I was completely breathless.

I was gonna die

I was gonna drown and be dead forever

Finally the rope came loose and I burst to the surface struggling for air and coughing water up.

I pulled myself up to the dock just in time to see my kidnappers car driving away.

well. I was never gonna get home.

Matthews POV☢

After struggling for what seemed like hours, I finally came free from the rope.

I jumped up and quickly ran to my car. I turned it on and sped out of the empty amusement park parking lot.

I wonder where they took her.

I finally parked outside of the the entrance to the old lake when I saw Carter's car fly out if the entrance.

Oh no

They probably left her in there.

I drove onto the dirt road leading to the lake when I saw a figure walking on the side of the road.

It was Chloe

Oh my gosh I can't believe I did this to her

I pulled my car over and jumped out.

"CHLOE! BABY IM SO SORRY!" I said crying.

She didn't say a word to me she just ran up and hugged me. She ran and jumped straddling me. She was balling her eyes out and she was sopping wet.

I set her down in the passenger seat of my car and wrapped her shivering body in a blanket. Then I turned the heat on and started driving.

I made her tell me the WHOLE story

Every little detail.

They were so cruel.

Finally I made it back to her house. It was past midnight.

I knew Chloe's parents wouldn't care. Her mom was a total airhead that never had any idea what was going on ever, and her dad was always sleeping or being controlled by her mom.

We pulled into her driveway and I shut my car off.

I looked over at Chloe who was sound asleep.

I decided on just carrying her into the house. I knew the garage code so I typed it in and carried her bridal style up into her bedroom. I wanted to change her out if her sopping wet, filthy, lake clothes, but I kinda figured that would be a little weird.

So I just laid her down and tucked her under the blankets. Then i kissed her on the head and whispered

I love you Chloe.

She rolled over in her bed and finally was fast asleep.

I left Chloe's house and went home.

My parents didn't care. They kinda let me do whatever I wanted.

I feel like it's just because they have a lot of trust in me, but then again I feel like they just don't want to have to deal with me.

So I walked up to my room and laid in my bed.

I can't believe that Carter did that

I was in total shock.

So I decided that I was gonna do something about it.

Not only did he dump my angel off a dock into a lake, but he ruined my date night.

I was gonna ask Chloe to be my girlfriend....

Tomorrow I was gonna do something about it

Nobody messes with Chloe
