Chapter Two: Kiaras POV
"Key, are you going down and visiting mom today?" My older brother Blake questions me, like He questions me every day. Our moms in the hospital, she's been in the hospital for about a year, she's been in a car accident. She was drunk and was in the car that hit my ex boyfriend. I haven't forgiven her for driving drunk and putting her own life at risk, or for killing him.

I look at Blake, "Sorry Blake, I'm busy today" It sounds as if I'm questioning if I actually have plans or not.

He rolls his eyes, "Sure you are K, look, I get what happened. I do. I'm mad at her too, trust me. I haven't forgiven her either, and I understand you're obviously more mad than I am. However, she is our mom, and she could die at any moment and you'll hate yourself for not saying goodbye." He seems sincere, but it'll hurt me too much to face her when I'm not ready. In a coma of not.

"Blake, I can't" I frown.

"Can't what?" Jude ask, walking into the living room.

"Go away Jude" I don't even look at him.

"Why can't you?" Blake questions me.

"It doesn't matter Blake" I look back down at my book.

"K" I ignore him, "Key" again I don't acknowledge him. "Kiara!" He snaps, stealing my book from me.

"Give it back B" I snap, standing up and reaching to grab it. He grabs me with his free hand, holding me away from him and the book.

His glare is strong, "Tell me" He demands.

"Blake? Kiara?" Neither of our heads turn to see our baby brother Sean.

"Damn it Kiara! Tell me!" He snaps at me, no anger in his voice, just concern.

"Because she was driving Blake! It was her! Not whoever that guy at the scene was! She was driving and he covered for her so we wouldn't be mad at her. She killed Noah! She killed him Blake, he's dead because of her! Let's not ignore the fact that she was clearly cheating on dad with that guy! She's making our lives one big shit show and by visiting her you're saying it's okay when it's not. And then with Jack back in town, Kaylani's going to be spending more time with him and I won't have my best friend when I need her." I yell at him, he let's go of my arm, he sits my book down on the counter.

"Kiara" He turns away from me to look at Jude and Sean. "Don't"

"Do you think I'm lying?" I ask him.

"About mom? Yes, about Jack? No, I know he's back in town" He tells me.

"Whatever Blake, I don't have to deal with this bullshit today." I snap, turning away from him.

The last thing I hear before walking out the front door is, "Kiara, please!"

Chapter Two: Jacks POV
We're all goofing off and just bring kids when the doorbell goes off. Of course since I'm the only one here who actually lives in the house, it's my job to get it. I walk to the front door, opening it, and standing in shock for a moment. "Kay, it's for you!" I yell.

She shakes her head, "Um, actually, can I talk to you?" She questions me.

I frown, but nod, this is my chance. "Never mind Kay!" I yell to my cousin, then look back at Kiara. "I didn't say it very well when we were together, but I'm always here when you need me Key." I tell her.

"Well good, because I kind of need your help. As in in strings attached. This isn't going to turn into us dating or being friends again. You're an asshole Jack, but there was always one thing you were good at, and that was keeping a secret. And right now, I need someone who can keep a secret."
