It's been a few weeks since the NCIS team said goodbye to the Hedgehog Family. It was thanks to Gibbs and his team that Sonic was reunited with his wife and on his way to figuring out how to get home. The chance of them running into eachother again was slim. Until Eggman showed up in D.C. With the Chaos Emeralds spread out, again, both Sonic and Eggman are determined to get them. What they don't know is the NCIS team watching them.
"This was all over the news," said NCIS' director Leon Vance. He showed his best agent, Leroy Jethro Gibbs the file showing what happened 20 years ago. It showed a picture of a blue hedgehog with emerald green eyes, running shoes and gloves fighting robots around Station Square. In the background you could see a floatation devise with a round man with a mustache and goggles on his bald head in it. "Word has come out that Sonic is back in town," contined the director. "Seeing this file, there's a chance this man is back as well," he said pointing to the man in the picture.
"Do we know who he is?" asked Gibbs.
"Our files say his name is a Dr. Eggman. His technology was more advanced than ours. If Sonic wasn't around, we would be under his rule."
"Yet you still don't trust him."
"He got passed our security and violated our laws."
"Do you understand why?"
"We had one of his own species. Our records say he's used to being the Hero. So he'd save his own kind."
"And humans as well, Director. You've read the file. He saved millions."
"But why break laws to save one?"
"You see the little girl as a menous. I see her as someone too young to understand what goes on. She wasn't just one of his kind. She was his blood."
"You seem to have left that out of your report. What of the other female you were searching for?"
"His wife. By now they would be out of the D.C. area."
"And that is a good thing?"
"They're finding a way to get home. Something called 'chaos control."
"They tried that the first time they were here. It only made things worse and brought a part of their planet here."
"I've also read the file, Sir. They can find a way home. It just may take a while." Gibbs walked out of the office and down to the Main Lobby where his team typed at their computers. McGee was searching more information on Sonic while Ziva and Tony argued as usual.
"Why search more on him McGoober?" asked Tony. "They're gone for good."
"You never know Tony."
"McGee is right," said Ziva. "They could easily have to come back to find this.....crystal?"
"Chaos Emerald, Ziva. It's a powerful Emerlad on his home planet."
"Then wouldn't they be on his planet?" asked Tony.
"Not quite. They travel with them when Chaos Control happens. So they would be spread out here."
"Gear up!" said Gibbs coming in.
"Dead marine, Boss?" asked Tony.
"Downtown. At the park. Ziva drives."
"Oh come on, Boss."
"You got a problem, DiNozzo?"
"No Boss."
"Then get moving. Call Ducky." Tony grumbled and called Ducky real quick while Ziva grabbed the keys. Ziva wasn't the best driver in D.C. Neither was she the worst. But she drove a lot like Gibbs when in a hurry. Soon enough, they reached the park and noticed robot parts all over the ground, as if they were in Station Square, and not D.C.
