I've been hearing the voices again... It's been a while since I've heard them. I can't understand what they are saying but it's strangely comforting. It brings back memories I had tried to forget.

When I was younger I had an imaginary friend. He wasn't the most attractive of demons but he was royalty. He looked about two years older than me. I was 7. He had black hair that was parted on the side so it flopped over his left eye. His eyes were blood red, his skin was the same colour as mine and he stood slightly taller than me. We always used to go out on walks in the park and I never felt scared when I was with him. But then he disappeared suddenly... And I hadn't seen him or heard the voices since. That was 10 years ago.

My name is Luna Noctis. Yes I have a Latin name. No I don't care. I like it!

The voices returning means I might be able to see him again. I hope so...

I have long black hair, which I usually have loose with a side fringe, pale skin and eyes the colour of violets... I hate it when people assume I'm wearing contacts. I get bullied a lot at high school because I look different. I get called emo, attention seeker, ugly, fake etc... Those names don't really affect me. The thing that affects me is the looks, the stares. Even my teachers stare at me. When we have relief teachers it's a nightmare. They always look so shocked when I walk into the room. The worst time was when I walked into the room and we had an old relief teacher. He looked about 80 years old. When I walked up to him to ask if I could go to the bathroom he actually had a heart attack and had to be rushed to hospital... Yeah that wasn't a good day.

When I was in year 2 it was even worse. When one of the parents came in the class to get their child they saw me and held out a cross that was around their neck at me and told me to return to hell while pushing their child through the door... Just to say the teacher was horrified at the parents' actions and went to go lecture the parent. The next day that child was moved to another class.

My only friends were the voices in my head and the boy.

Now I'm seventeen and I have two friends one named Lilith and the other named René. We were probably the most outcast group in the entire school. Lilith is a stunning beauty about the same height as me with light blonde hair and fair skin that was almost as light as mine. Her eyes are a beautiful blue you just want to stare at them all day. She could literally be in any group in the school but she decided to be outcasts with René and I. René has long dark brown hair, pale skin and beautiful grey/blue eyes. Her eyes are mesmerising, when you look into them you literally get lost in their beauty. She is slightly shorter than me.

On a dark, dreary Thursday during lunch, Lilith, René and I were sitting under our favourite oak tree on the benches. I was sitting at the table doing homework while René and Lilith were sitting on the table gossiping.

"Lilith, did you hear about the new art teacher joining the school next year? I heard he's super HAWT!" René practically screamed.

"What! A new art teacher?! I think I know what subject I'm choosing next year" Lilith said with a suggestive wink. "Maybe he will teach us about art in the bedroom, if you know what I mean."

"You two do realise you are talking about a teacher, Right? They are off limits." I said without looking up from my math homework.

"That's where the fun is." Lilith said with another suggestive wink.

"Besides, you can't keep dreaming about a make believe boy for the rest of your life. You have to find a guy who is real and will treat you well." René said while looking at me with growing concern as I dropped my pencil from shock at the mention of the boy I had been trying to forget. "I'm fine guys!" I said as I quickly slammed my book shut and threw it into my tatty black shoulder bag. "I don't need a guy; he will come back to me." I stated as the girls groaned in unison.
