I was standing in the mirror, trying to fix my hair. "Blue you better hurry!" I put away the brush and moved away from the mirror, I moved away but looked back in the mirror one more time. I saw a white and brown collie with blue hair staring back at me. I felt cool but looked good. The school polo with sweater vest was a little hot but who cares? "Blue hurry up!" My mom called again. I ran downstairs, my mom was already at the door with the keys, "Lucky this is the only day I have to drop you off, or wake up early." The school had asked us to come in early, they wanted it to be a surprise when I met the class. It was pitch black, that's what happens in the middle of November. Let me explain what's happening, I recently turned 14 and my parents thought that I should experience public school. So now, I'm going to school early to effectively surprise my new classmates.
A couple of minutes had passed, it was progressively brighter by 7:25, people were going outside, mainly to get mail or to leave for work. The drive was five minutes but it felt like 30. Eventually, we made it to the school.
We stepped inside the office, the principal and another teacher were waiting for us, "Hello Blue!" The principal said, she was a tall mid thirties black woman. "Blue I'd like to introduce you to Mrs Bram. She's the advisor for the students with disabilities and she agreed to assist you if you need anything." Mrs Bram was a blonde woman with a blue sweater
and jeans. If you didn't know, you'd think she's a gym coach. "Blue until class starts, you'll be in here in the back. You can use your phone until you prepare to go to class."
I sat in the office for forty minutes, "Ok Blue, the halls are clear and you can go to class." I looked up from my phone, "I'm ready."
