Asher has ended up falling asleep on the couch, aka staying the night. I was asleep on the loveseat next to him. The door slammed waking both of us up. My mom stumbled up the stairs, a bottle of whiskey in her hand. Her shoes in her other hand. Asher watched her intently.
As soon as I heard her bedroom door shut, I stood up and pushed my air off of my face, acting like it didn't happen.
"Annie?" Asher began to ask me something but I walked to the kitchen. I saw him scramble off the couch, getting out of the blanket I had laid on top of him last night. He looked back at it in confusion before disregarding it and following me into the kitchen.
"You want some breakfast?" I asked Asher Angel, the guy who held a knife to my neck two days ago. "Was that your mom?" He asked back. I nodded and started taking cereal out of the cabinet. "Lucky charms or fruit loops?" He smiled at me and quietly said, "I'll have whatever you're having."
"Fruit loops it is." I said pouring the colored rings into two bowls. I slid one to Asher after pouring milk in it. I sat next to him and we quietly ate.
We finished eating and I noticed it was still raining outside. "I can drive you home if you want." I offered. Asher nervously glanced outside before saying, "I'm fine, I can walk."
"You sure, I have to go to town and pick up Jayden anyways, as long as you live near town it would really be no problem." I said putting both of our bowls in the sink. He smiled and said, "Sure, that would be great, thanks."
"Alright, I'm just going to go upstairs and change, you can wait in my room if you want." I told him. He shrugged and followed me upstairs. I picked out an outfit and before going to the bathroom to change I turned to Asher and asked, "Do you think this shirt will go with these jeans?" The boy scoffed and said, "Looks great Annie, get ready LeBlanc, you don't want to be late picking up Jayden."
"You're right!" I said loudly before scrabbling to the bathroom. I quickly changed into the skinny jeans and crop top. The jeans felt a little tight but I just ignored it and ran back into my bedroom. Asher smiled at me as I stood in front of my mirror and applied mascara and lip gloss.
I picked up my brush and started combing through the knots. I gritted my teeth and Asher started laughing as I tugged at my hair. "Oh shut up, Asher." I said. I jumped onto my bed and pulled on my socks and shoes. Asher was still laughing as I quickly got ready. The boy stunk like mildew from his clothes from yesterday.
I stood up and said, "Alright I'm ready." He laughed and stood up as well, following me.
We drove for fifteen minutes, he gave me directions and I drove. We drove into a more dangerous neighborhood and I became I little nervous. "If you don't wanna drive me all the way you can just drop me off here." I shook my head and said, "no it's fine, which house is yours?"
He pointed to a small white house with a broken chair in the lawn. I pulled into the driveway and instantly a man in a tank top and pajama pants walked out of the house. He had his hands on his hips, Asher sighed and said, "Thanks for taking me home Annie, I'll see you at school Monday." I nodded and quietly said, "Bye Asher." He smiled and said, "By Ann's."
I picked up Jayden at her house and instantly started telling her about my experience with Asher. Jayden smiled and said, "Someone's got a crush."
"No way Jay, I don't like him, we just hung out." I said to her.
Jayden smiled and sang out, "Annie has a crush, Annie has a crush, Annie likes the psycho."
I rolled my eyes at my best friend as we drove to the mall. We both sold most of our clothes last week, we had decided we were both sick of our wardrobes, and now we have nothing to wear.
We walked into Urban Outfitters and instantly started buying new clothes, then we moved on to Forever 21, and local clothing store outlets.
As we walked to my car, our arms weighed down by bags of clothes and shoes, we both complained about how much our arms hurt. Jayden had forced me to buy a few items that made me look kind of hot. Jayden thought so anyways.
"You're going to wear the outfit on Monday right?" She asked referring to the clothes she had picked out, telling me they'd look perfect on my figure.
