She leads me with her King at her side towards a Faerie. Wait, a Faerie?!? Was my crazy mother right, all those years of her telling me those bogus stories, and they're true? Whenever I see my mother again I should really apologize for all those years of me thinking that she was completely and utterly insane. Wait a second, why am I starting to believe this is real? It could still very well be a dumb dream that my brain decided to create while I'm knocked out. I honestly don't remember hitting my head or anything, but this is too insane for it to be real. The Faerie has white hair that flows down to her waist, purple eyes that are big and sparkle brightly, her wings are shimmering and slowly moving back and forth glittering as they move, catching the light just perfectly leaving me out of breath. She really is beautiful. She turns her gaze on me and jumps-I mean flies-excitedly up and down clapping her hands. She then bows very deeply to her King and Queen. The King looks at her and nods his head,
"Fay this is Adelina. I'm sure you know by now that she is the Dragon Bride and I would like you to personally care for her for the 2 weeks she is here competing for the prince's heart." Her eyes light up and she starts crying. She looks so happy, I wonder if she's ever gotten a job this special in her life.
"I won't let you down my majesty" she bows again, quickly this time. The Kings nods and walks off, he didn't seem too overly excited to have a human in his realm. Fay turns to me and bows again. I look at her incredulously.
"Why are you bowing to me? Shouldn't I, the human with no magical powers at all, be bowing to you? A Faerie with wings and probably pixie dust or some shit?" She looks at me and giggles.
"No, no of course not my Lady. I am to bow to you because, you are my superior. And I am quite flattered you believe me to be a Faerie, I am merely a Pixie. One day I do hope to be promoted to Faerie, once I complete this job I believe I will be promoted. So I thank you for this opportunity!" I look her up and down, she looks like a Faerie to me, what the hell is the difference? She notices my confused look and explains,
"A Faerie and a Pixie are very similar it is quite easy to get us confused. Pixies are sort of like worker bees and Faeries are like Queen bees." I look at her still utterly confused, wasn't that guy who was just here the King and that woman, the Queen? How can they be compared to Queen bees? She notices again my confusion and attempts to explain again.
"Faeries rule over the Pixies, they are the general of the war, they are the highest ranking guards of the palace, they are far superior to us mere Pixies, but no matter I will get there some day. Now come with me," she takes ahold of my arm and pulls me down the hallway, "I will take you to your room, tonight you will meet the prince at the royal dinner. We need to get you looking even more enchanting than you already are." She runs/flies down the hallway dragging me behind her attempting to keep up but mostly being dragged on the floor. That's when I see him, that mysterious man from the bar. I knew those cold blue eyes anywhere. The Pixie, Fay, gasps and quickly stops. She looks nervously around and bows very low to the floor, she stands up only as he walks over and touched her shoulder indicating she can stand back up. She looks at him and sighs dreamily, he knows the effect he has on women. Then he glanced at me and I see recognition flash in his eyes,
"Adelina? What are you doing here?"
