sometimes you cry
tears of sadness
sometimes they are
tears of madness
sometimes you cry
because of what you lost
sometimes you cry
because you can't afford the cost
sometimes you cry
because of the leaving
sometimes you cry
because you stop believing
but sometimes tears
sing a different song
and all the painful tears
dry up and are gone
sometimes tears
are joy not pain
in hopes that you
never have to cry again
