It was 3 am, and Sabri was still awake. Though she felt half dead.
She had been sitting around, and not wanting to go to bed just yet and had decided to open up one of her current reading selections. It was a lengthy 53 chapter Pepperony fic and she had been on the 10th chapter beforehand.
Honestly, she didn't mean for it to go this far, I mean she did know how to limit herself... Just a couple chapters are what she had planned.
And yet that was about 9 pm, and she was now on chapter 49...
"Ugh, I need to go sleep", she ground out. She had school
Oh, what a situation.
"Just. One. More. WORD! Then I'll be done".
'Tony and Pepper leaned toward each other when suddenly-'
POWER OFF.
Sabri sat there in complete shock as she groaned. She then watched as the phone shined brightly. It was a complete contrast to the darkness her eyes had grown accustomed to over the hours and released a squealed hiss. Quickly moving to cover her eyes, and flipped the phone to lay face down.
"that was so unnecessary".
As the screen went off, she moved her hand around to find her charger. Finally locating it, she placed the plugin and saw as the little white circle lit up. It slowly pulsated, so she laid on her back, staring into the darkness.
She sat there for a couple minutes. Raising her hand in front of her face she noticed that telltale sign of everything getting darker. She could clearly see her hands outline when there was a familiar faint glow that flowed from her skin.
She smiled.
It was such a lite purple it was borderline pink and just an inch from being white. The mesmerizing light show flowed along her thick fingers, around her scar ridden forearm all the way down to where it caressed her many stretch marks. It was beautiful. Everything about it was completely, and utterly her.
The way it flowed with such grace. The jagged edges that smoothed out with the flick of a wrist. How it always moved no matter how still she sat. The light and she were one
And no one could change that.
