"As long as we play to our strengths and bring our own showmanship, we've got as good a chance to win this pageant as anyone else. And a lot of pageant winners go on to do very important things, like Willowdean's mom," Millie explained as she looked at both Hannah and I. In the corner of my eye, I saw Will making her way over to us again with a tray under her arm.

"Millie. I think there's been some kind of misunderstanding," A second passed as we all looked at Willowdean," We're not actually trying trying to win the pageant." Millie furrowed her eyebrows as she gripped onto her own file she had made," We're not?"

"Well I'm not, neither is Max. As I don't know what her deal is, but..." Hannah made a slight click with her tongue as she sent an awkward grin towards Will and I giggled slightly.

Suddenly, Ellen rushed up to us out of no where and Millie budged along to let her sit down. Ellen looked over at me and smiled before noticing Hannah's legs sprawled out on my lap and sent a smirk in my direction. An even worse blush crept up my face and I looked down to the floor nervously. Willowdean sighed," Look, it's... it's a protest. We're trying to make a point."

"Count me in," Hannah butted in as she fiddled with one of the leftover straws, hitting it on the table lightly.

"Well, what's our point?" Millie glanced between the rest of us. Ellen glanced helplessly at Will who only returned the look.

"It's a revolt against the oppressive heteropatriarchy unconsciously internalised by the female psyche," Hannah explained. Well, she explained her reason for probably being here right now.

HETEROPATRIARCHY

Heteropatriarchy comes from the words hetero [Sexuality] and patriarchy. It is a social political system in which the male gender and heterosexuality have primary over the other genders and sexual orientations.

My eyes widened a fraction at what Hannah said. What? I turned my head fully towards the short brown haired girl and stared at her. She faced me slightly, while the rest of the girls looked between themselves, and sent a discreet wink my way. Almost immediately my face flared up an even worse red than ever before and I bit my bottom lip gently.

"Oh..." Millie said as she locked eyes with Hannah but confusion was still evident in her features. "In other words..." Will trailed off and Hannah sighed.

She lifted up a sugar holder and stated," We're Spartacus..." and then used the other hand to hold a small salt packet," and the pageant is the Roman Empire." We all watched as Hannah dropped the salt packet and then hit it with 'Spartacus' multiple times, us all flinching every time it hit the table.

"Anybody?" She asked and I raised my hand slightly. "I like your idea," I muttered gently as she sent me a small grin. Everyone else, however, just stared before Hannah started to beat up the salt packet even more.

"Okay. Okay. Hey," Willowdean scolded as she snatched the sugar from Hannah's hands before the teen could do an harm to the table or attract attention. Hannah lifted her hands up in a what motion before they fell limply by her side.

"Every revolution starts small."
