Jumping off my skateboard, I unplugged my earphones and stuffed them in my pocket before picking up my black skateboard with white writing on it. Running up to Will, I managed to catch onto whatever the person in the silver car shouted to her.
"Oh Dumplin'! Dumplin'! Forgot your phone!"
I glared at all the people around who dared make some sick remark about the nickname before continuing to walk up to Will as she snatched her phone from whom I'm guessing is her mother. "Well, you're welcome," The woman rolled her eyes as she held a phone to her chest.
When I reached the two I smiled at them both. "Hi Will, is this your mom?" I asked politely before turning towards the car.
"Hi, I'm Maxine Foster. I've just moved here and I'm friends with your daughter," I waved slightly and earned a small smile in return from Rosie Dickson. Noticing Will was already storming away, I sent a look of apology towards her mother before running after the blonde haired girl.
"Hey Will, you okay?" I asked before glaring at a bunch of girls as I heard one ask about the nickname.
"No! I'm not okay! My mum's completely ruined my already terrible reputation that never existed in the first place!" Will complained as I smirked slightly.
"If it helps, I'm getting looks too."
"Probably because you're walking with the 'Dumplin' girl," Willowdean frowned as she held her head towards the concrete ground.
"Nope, probably 'cause I'm wearing Panic! At The Disco and my hair is silver and a pixie cut. Plus, nobody s ever seen me before," I grinned wolfishly, showing my teeth to the girl next to me, before Ellen ran up to us.
"What just happened?" She immediately asked as Will rolled her eyes in defeat and embarrassment. "My mom just happened."
Straight after that sentence, the school bell rang and we all rushed inside. The nickname kept getting pushed into Will's face as we walked towards the lockers. "God everybody heard. It's was so embarrassing, Ellie."
I kept glaring at every student who dared point out Willowdean before listening back in on the conversation. "Here comes Dumplin'!" One boy shouted as we walked past and I immediately flipped up the middle finger towards him and his other friends.
"Just ignore him, he's an idiot. Max, stop flipping him off you'll get a detention if a teacher sees you," Ellen stayed before grabbing onto the straps of her bag.
The same guy from before jumped in front of another girl and began harassing her, probably because of her weight when I noticed Will about to move and stuck my arm out to prevent it from happening.
"Oh, oh, oh! Guess they need to widen the hallways!" He sneered before the girl finally managed to dodge around him. The boys laughed and I growled.
"Fuck this shit," I grumbled before striding over to the small group of bullies. When I got close, the main one noticed me and laughed.
