Camila
"So you're telling me we've been neighbours the entire time?", he says in awe

"since summer yeah", I smile

"why haven't I seen you before?", he questions

"I'm not really at home most of the time", I reply

"Why's that?", he questions

"you see I have to work in order to make a living", I was getting frustrated

"Okay, but what about your paren-", he questions

"Stop the car", I demand trying to fight the tears

"But it's raining, you'll get soaked", he states the obvious

"I don't care, stop", I say as I reach for my purse passing him a ten dollar bill

"I'm sorry if I crossed the line", "woah there! I'm not taking any money, what are friends for?", he replies

"Firstly, I'm not your friend. I barely even know you. I don't even know your name to begin with", I reply as I look out the window

"Shawn, I'm Shawn", he replies

I don't say a word

"And yours is?", he asks

"Camila" I instantly reply

"What's up with the attitude?", he asks

"You ask so many questions", "and you don't know me so way to jumping into conclusions Shawn", I roll my eyes

"First impression is the last impression", he smiles

"You're so lame", I reply

"We've know each other for what? 2 hours and we're already fighting", he honks at the car ahead of us

"Maybe if you weren't so nosy we could talk civilly", I replied

"We're almost there", he sighs

"Thank god!", I smile catching him staring at me through the mirror

"What?", I question

"Nothing", he bluntly replies

He parks outside my house and to my surprise my mother and father are outside fighting... again

my mother is throwing the groceries that I bought yesterday at him

"Fuck you", she yells

"Get out of my house", she continues

without saying another word I get out of the car soaked in the rain

"Mom, stop!", I yell

"Don't tell me what to do, if it weren't for you my daughter would still be alive", she replies

All the tears I was trying to fight and the pain I tried to hold back escaped

My father left in his old truck and my mother head inside

"Camila... are you okay?", he asked

"Shawn, please leave me alone. Thank you for the ride", I couldn't make eye contact

"But", before he could say another world
"Please", I pleaded

He obliged and went next doors to his house

I was left in the rain picking up the groceries and cleaning up the front yard

After what seemed like hours, I head inside racing towards alina's room grabbing onto fluffy and letting out my tears

I cried and cried

The guilt of letting her go overtaking me. This was my fault.

I head to take a steaming hot water shower and went to the kitchen to cook some dinner for my now sobered up mother and I.

"I didn't mean it", she said

"okay", I bluntly reply

I hand her the plate and serve her food

"Your father and I are getting a divorce", hopeful she said

"Took you long enough", I grabbed my plate and head upstairs

The roaring winds crashing against the windows

I grabbed Alina's journal as I ate and continued to eat

Deer dairy,
Mila and I went to the park tooday to celebrate my birthday. It was a lot of fun, I'm finally three years old. I love Mila

I miss her so much

*knock knock*

I looked towards the direction from which the noise came from and was greeted by same tall figure but a lot more blurry.
