Posessive.

Logan pulled him to the back of the school, slamming him against the brick wall. "What was that, before, with Picani?" Patton swallowed.

He couldn't even bare to look Logan in the eye, because he didn't know if he liked when Logan got possessive of him or not. And he knew it didn't help that he was so... free with his displays of affection. "Nothing." He choked out.

"Nothing?" Logan hissed back at him. "Nothing isn't lingering on a handshake and staring into each other's eyes like you're in a romance movie."

"That was one thing," Patton said. "Can't I be friends with him?"

"Oh you can be friends," Logan said. "I don't mind friends. But that was not, as you say, friends."

Patton had to shift a little to keep himself from tackling Logan back and hugging him, crying into his shoulder. He had to keep himself steady, because Logan didn't understand that that was jealousy. Logan didn't understand, he never did, because Logan didn't deal with emotions.

Upon having no response, Logan's grip on him tightened. Patton gasped a little at the sudden harshness, unfamiliar from Logan, and tried to shift to stop the wall digging into his back. It just hurt more.

"Logan," Patton kept his voice quiet. "Logan, you're hurting me."

Logan didn't stop immediately.

That's the one action that stuck with Patton, was that Logan didn't stop pushing him against he wall immediately. He waited, if only for a few seconds, and then let Patton go.

Patton fell to the floor, stretching slightly in an attempt to stop the pain in his bones. Then he sat, leaning, against the back wall of the school.

"Patton," Logan hissed. "I don't like to do this. But you keep doing things, you keep... having moments like those with people and it makes me scared."

Patton knew it did, but it was just affection. Platonic affection. "Logan," Patton couldn't remember when he'd said it so sternly last, But Logan's head snapped to where he was immediately and Patton knew he was being listened to. "It's platonic."

"But..." Logan didn't know what to say. "But it makes me uncomfortable. Platonic or not. I want to be the only one you're affectionate with, Patton, I want to be your one and only."

Logan day down beside him, sighing. Patton always reassured Logan at this point that he was, and no change was ever made because Patton didn't see the point in changing for Logan.

But it made Logan uncomfortable, and Patton didn't want that. "Well, Logan, I can promise you you're my one and only," Patton smiled a little. Logan sighed, clearly upset about this outcome. "But I know that it hurts for you to see me affectionate with others."

That was a turn it hadn't taken before.

Logan sat up a little, trying to catch Patton's eye, but Patton looked away. "So I'll stop. What exactly makes you uncomfortable?"

Logan clearly felt bad, but Patton didn't know what else to do or say. "Patton..." he put a hand on Patton's shoulder, hesitating as if he might run away. "You don't have to do what makes you uncomfortable for me."

"But we keep having this issue," Patton turned to face him. "I don't want that. If I make you uncomfortable with my affections then I need to change the way I show it."

"It's just... hand holding. Eye staring. Getting so close to people it's almost like I'm watching you kiss them." Logan said, looking away from Patton. "I can't stand that."

Those were simple, small things. At least Logan wasn't saying he couldn't hug anyone else- but no one had ever told him that, so he didn't know where it could've come from.
