It was a simple day in film class. It was my last hour and I really was tired. Just my luck we had an assignment. Get filming of something of our choice and present it. I heard a lot of people say many things about cars and libraries. I was thinking something different. They were talking about things easy to get. I was thinking of something hard to get. Creepy forest footage. It was hard to get because we lived no where near a forest. The closest one was about eighty miles west or an hours drive. I had a car so it wasn't like I couldn't get it. I had the advantage because I was the only one with a license and car in my class. I took my camera, that was always in my car, and headed out.
I got there around four thirty. With a small town everyone gets out at the same time. The forest was calming. Peaceful. As long as I had a nice storage of batteries I would be able to live there. Daylight savings time was my friend in this scenario. At five the sun was setting. This was my chance. I got pretty good images of the moon rising along with the movement of the trees and creek. It all seemed t be going good until I heard static. It was soft yet noticeable. My camera seemed to be making the noise before blacking out. I looked around. The trees were tall and rather scary now.
My breath started to slow. Most people would panic, but I do it in reverse. My mind went to play dead instead of run now. A tall creature emerged from the woods. Well dressed and paler than anyone I had ever seen. I looked at him as my heart finally began to race. I scanned him from bottom to top. When I saw his facelessness I felt myself falling. Blacking out.
