Drew 's POV
"I'm so glad this is my final semester of college." Drew said to her boss Ms. Tia
"I'm proud of you and how far you've come. Just remember what I told you." Ms. Tia responded
Ms. Tia was not only my boss but she was also my advisor throughout my entire college career. Without her I'm not completely sure where I'd be?She was always there to help me not only with school, but also with life. Suddenly her Phone began to ring. Catching her off guard she put the books down back on the cart, answering it.
"Hello, Mia. What's wrong? Okay I"ll be there soon." She said with a frown on her face.
"Hey, Drew can you please stay and lock up? The babysitter said the baby keeps crying and I just know she wants me I can't be away from her too long."
Ms. Tia had her daughter three months ago and was not used to being away for her baby.
"Oh! yeah of course no worries. I'll see you this week." Drew said as Ms. Tia gathered her belongings heading to the door.
"Okay thank you so much!" Ms. .Tia said now gone from sight
It was 8:07 and my shift was over at 8:30, but now I'd be here till 9:00 to close up shop. I worked at the library on campus. I'd spent so much time there over the past three years, I decided why not get paid to be there.I also had an internship coming up that was required for graduation, I was so excited for it.
I decided to busy myself since literally nobody was in the library considering it was a Friday night. I'm sure everyone was already drunk as soon as class let out.
Watching one of my favorite YouTubers AmberMartin I didn't realize I had a missed FaceTime from my girl Kenya. Returning the call I decided to go ahead and start locking up the many areas within the library. The time was now going on 8:52.
"Dang what's this girl doing?" Drew said aloud since Kenya was taking forever to pick up. Finally she answered.
Drew: Hey Girllllll Kenya: Sis where you at? Drew: Locking up about head out this bitch. Why what's up? Kenya: I'm trying go out and enjoy my Friday and I'm sure you do too. Soooooo?! Drew:Soooooooo? I laughed with wide eyes Kenya: We're going out! Duhhh she rolled her eyes and then started laughing Drew: Alright cool! Kenya: Just see if Tay will drive you here around 10:15 and you can stay the night. Oh I heard the Kappas are having a party it's an all white affair so we going be there. Cause I damn sure don't wanna be square. Drew: Kenya what?! I smiled. oh sis let me finish up here I'll text you in a bit Kenya: Alright. Bet!
Hanging up the phone, I went to the messages and texted Tay . He was my roll dog, he'd always look out for me when I needed him and was like my older brother. I met Tamir and Kenya freshman year in our English class, we clicked immediately and been like the three musketeers every since then.
