Take my hand - Natsu x Reader

Part 3: Playing Dirty

Everyone spent hours looking for her but nothing turned up, Natsu even tried catching her scent but he could only smell the creatures of the forest.

"This is hopeless! Were never gonna find her!" Natsu yelled, punching a tree.

"Natsu calm down. She's strong. We will find her and make him pay for ever laying a finger on her." You put a hand on his shoulder and he starts to calm down.

"Happy, you found anything up there??" You yelled up at the blue cat who was flying around.

"Nope." He sighed, landing next to us.

"Think...come on Y/N think..." you thought to yourself.

Suddenly a flashback comes into your mind.

:Flashback:

"I'll give you 24 hours, if you do not surrender your place as master by midnight tomorrow, then little miss princess over here dies."

:End of Flashback:

"24 hours..." you mumble.

"What did you say?" Natsu looks at you confused.

"That's it. 24 hours."

"Huh?" He looks even more confused and happy joins him.

You sigh.

"There is an old abandoned village with a giant clock tower. He mentioned time and a certain hour. Midnight. And at midnight, a wave of magic force flows through the village, killing anything in its path. If we can get there before midnight, then we can save Lucy and stop the curse by breaking the clock." His face brightens up.

"Wow! You're so smart Y/N! Come on let's get going!" Natsu grabs your hand and stats running with you, happy flys next to us.

-At the village-

The village sat silent, you could drop a pin and it would be heard from miles away, the wind stopped, the leaves stopped falling and the only sound was the first crushing under our feet.

"Natsu. Contact the others and tell them where we are." You said, being mindful of your surroundings.

He nodded and soon the other groups started slowly turning up.

"What is this place Y/N?" Erza asked.

"This place was called the Lilly village, it used to be home to some of Fiore's finest most colourful flowers. Until one day a dark guild cursed the village, a wave of magic power so strong it could kill within miles would pass through the city at the exact hour of midnight. Everyone in the village died. The houses were unaffected since they weren't living things but all of the flowers soon died and no one could figure out how to get rid of the curse so they sectioned this part of the forest off for that very reason. I figured that if it only struck at midnight then it had to have something to do with the clock and looking back at all of the horrible events that took place in this town such as murders, dark spells, curses, attacks I saw that every single one of the had to do with the clock. The murders were because someone would push people off of the top of the clock building to fall to their deaths, the dark spells were always performed at the top of the clock tower and the past curses all had something to do with it. So that means this all has to do with the clock too." Everyone stared at you in awe.

"How did you figure that out?" Gray asked.

"I did a lot of reading when I was growing up and read about this town, it's been abandoned for years, centuries to be exact." You all soon arrive in front of the clock tower.

"Uhh...guys..look up.."Everyone follows what Evergreen said and was greeted by Lucy, hanging off of one of the hands of the clock.

"LUCY!!!" Natsu yelled, jumping at her.

"NATSU NO!" You yell but it was too late, his body collided with a barrier, sending him flying into a building with great force.

"Lucy!" Everyone shouted.

You all suddenly heard evil snickering.

"She's trapped. Even if you do give me the guild, she'll die anyway." He smirked.

"Then why the hell would you make us come out here?!" Gajeel shouted.

"So I can watch Fairy's get squashed." His smirk grew even more and a great force pushed us onto the ground, crushing us under its weight.

"You will all watch as your little friend Lucy dies a slow and painful death knowing you can't do anything."  He cackled evilly. Suddenly Lucy starts to scream out in pain.

Everyone was yelling in pain from the weight except you. You kept your composure and stared at him with gritted teeth and one eye open.

"You....bastard.." you groan after from the pain.

"Don't talk little fairy. You'll die a worse death then Lucy if you do." He smirked again.

"You'll pay....for this..." You hand grips onto the ground, crushing the earth beneath it.

"What the-" He started.

"You....will pay...for hurting my family.." You start to stand up slowly,pushing against the crushing weight of the spell.

"What?! How?! How can you stand?!?!" He shouted, backing away in fear.

"You're magic may seem strong but you are weak. You're physical capabilities are equal to an ant. This is your only strong spell, the rest of it is illusion magic. You...are pitiful.." You compose yourself, still pushing against the weight.

"Y/N...." Natsu whispers.

"You. You will die for what you have done!" You lift your head and you see fear fill his eyes.

A sword appears in your right hand, it's blade sharp and clean.

"YOU WILL DIE FOR HURTING THEM!!" You jump towards him, slashing your sword down on him quickly. He falls to the ground, he backs away into a wall.

"You..You bring shame upon the magic world." You raise your sword above his chest and push it down. But stop. He whimpers in fear.

"You will hand yourself in to the Magic council, take the blame for what you have done to this village and spend the rest of your life behind bars. Got that?" You say sternly, he nods quickly and you pick him up by the collar.

"If I see your face again. You will not live to see tomorrow." You glare at him, making him whimper more.

"Now go." You let go of his collar and he drops to the floor, soon composing himself and running for the hills.

Everyone stands up, the spell that was above them completely vanished, along with the barrier.

You jump up and pick Lucy up, untying the ropes and jumping back down, gently placing her in Grays arms.

"Take her back to the guild." He nods and walks back.

"Natsu." He looks at you.

"You can destroy the tower." He smiled widely.

"HECK YEAH! I'M ALL FIRED UP NOW!!!" He yells, everyone chuckles.
