It was a few days after Jisung went out to the club but Changbin still hadn't quite come to terms with it. He wasn't really mad at Jisung. He just didn't understand, why he'd do such a thing. Drinking was bad for your body, your mind and basically everything. For Changbin, their career was more precious than making some blurred memories in the darkness of a club. There was tension between the three of them and it was clearly noticeable, as they spent the last 3 days producing tracks and writing lyrics.
Changbin was currently hunching over a sheet with many dribbles and unconnected words and phrases on it. He wanted to write lyrics about how teenagers always got told that their troubles and problems were so small and unimportant compared to the "grown-ups' Problems", and how, hence to that, they acted like they were fine even though they got eaten alive by these "small", problems. But he couldn't. Through a poor rhyme he connected 2 lines so far, everything else just tumbled through his mind. He hated it. Usually, once he got an idea, the words would start flowing out of him and there was nothing that seemed easier than coming up with rhymes. Today it was hard to even come up with words.
Jisung who was lying on the floor with his feet up on the couch didn't even hold his paper in his hands anymore. The block laid on his chest and he was chewing on the end of his pencil as he looked up at the ceiling. The only person who seemed like they had inspiration was Chan, but also only because he was wearing headphones and the others didn't hear that he was stuck on one particular part of the track which just didn't sound right and wasn't fixable.
"I'm gonna head to the toilet.", Jisung announced as he got up and left the room. Changbin glanced after him.
"You're still mad at him?", Changbin jumped a little as he didn't reckon that Chan'd say something.
"You aren't?", usually, Chan kind of acted like their father and Changbin expected him to be a bit more worried.
"Damn Binni, stop acting like he's 12 or something. He's grown up. It was a one-way thing. It's not like he goes out all 3 days of the weekend every weekend.", Chan shifted his headphones from his head down to his neck, eyes fixed at Changbin.
"You don't know if it only was a one-way thing. He used to go out quite often and he was illegal back then.", when they first got together as a group, Jisung soon told them how frequently he went out but eventually stopped as he noticed that it was in no one's favor.
"We will talk to him if he'd really start doing it again. Don't think that he doesn't take this whole thing seriously because we both know, that he does.", Chan sighed. "Besides, you know how hard this whole thing gets for him sometimes."
"It's hard for all of us.", with that Changbin plugged his earphones in again to listen to the track upon which he was supposed to write the lyrics. A childlike gesture to end the argument.
But it was true. Chan once told Changbin how he noticed periods in which Jisung struggled more than usual and, after Changbin paid attention to it, he noticed them too. They didn't tell him though, because Jisung would come to them himself if he'd wanted them to know. Chan and Changbin agreed to help him in subtle ways, when they noticed that Jisung was facing darker times again.***
"Ok guys, let's take a break because if a have to listen to this stupid part of this track again I swear, I will throw my computer against the wall.", said Chan and ripped off his headphones to throw them on the desk.
Jisung immediately got up.
"Perfect idea, Hyung, because I really can't see the word shame and all the stupid unrhymable words to it anymore.", Jisung slammed his notes down on the floor and stretched his arms. Changbin was the only one who didn't throw his equipment around and simply stood up from the table he was sitting on and stored his phone into his pocket.
