Chapter 1

-Eren's POV-

I was cleaning captains room, which was pretty normal. The handsome clean freak was in a meeting with commander eyebrows aka Erwin. It was something about Levi and I going to an unexplored area outside the walls. I didn't really want to leave since my step sister, Mikasa, was sick. I went back and sprayed some windex (Levis favorite cleaning product) and continued to wipe down the window seal. Just then the door opened revealing the god himself, Captain Levi.

-Levis POV-

I slammed the door open to find the brat with a white cloth in his hand over by the window, staring at me startled.
"Alright maggot, listen here" I started "We will be leaving tonight since the minimum titans are active. We will go through Trost district. It will just be us since your sister is sick. Armin shall be taking care of her. If you want to bring your 3D maneuver gear go ahead but it won't be required since you have your titan form. As long as it works, we should be fine. We will also have an extra horse to accompany us so it can carry supplies but mostly gas air mechanism. Your excused now brat"
He went to the door while nodding but stopped and asked,"how long will this expedition be?"
"Maybe 3-4 days should be fine." He nodded once more and proceed out the door.

-Still Levis POV-

The emerald eye brat and I were on our horses riding towards the walls. Once we reached the gates leading outside, we waited for the guards to lift them.

-1 hour later-

-Erens POV-

Captain and I have traveled about 30 miles I would guess. We haven't seen any titans yet which is pretty strange. I would say it's dangerous being out where the scouts haven't ventured but then again, Levi is humanities strongest and I'm humanity's last hope to fix the wall that the colossal and armored titan broke down. We were accompanied by groups of trees on our left and miles of land on our right and in front of us. Captain was telling me about how there is a cabin about 10 miles away (20 minutes) that we will rest at. As he was explaining, there were streaks of dark purplish lightning to the left of us. As soon as it happened, Levi signaled to follow him and we went towards to where the lightning came from. The first thing that came to mind was, could it be shifters? The only ones that the scouts know of is Ymir, Annie, Berthold, and Reiner. It couldn't be Annie, she's trapped inside the bluish crystal thing. It couldn't be Reiner or Berthold or Ymir, I had those titans attack them... unless they escaped somehow. Even so, Bertholdt and Reiner have yellow lightning with grey smoke. That leaves Ymir. Could it really be her? That means those 2 would be with her though.. My attention was brought back to Levi when we entered the little forest. As we turned right from a broken tree, only leaving the stump left, we were faced with a black and purple gas like thing. I've never seen anything like it before and from the looks of it, neither has Levi. We both went turn around and escape the gas like substance but we were too late. We were being swallowed by it.
Before it surrounded my whole body, I released a small, "Levi help.."
