A Day at the Park {1}

~Deku's POV~

Wow, today sure is a beautiful day, I thought as I looked out my bedroom window. Today was a good day to go out and enjoy the weather! And go out on a date!  I thought with glee as I made my way to the front door. It's already 11:30 but I'm sure Kacchan is already ready and waiting outside my door!

"Mom!! I'm going out for a while!!" I shout, tying my shoes. I open the door and, as I expected, Kacchan was waiting for me! Haha, typically Kacchan!

"Let's get going, nerd, we're late!" He says, shoving his hands in his pockets. I try to hold in a giggle as I walk over to him. 

"Tch, what are you laughin' at, nerd?" He snaps back. I just smile as we start walking toward the park. 

"You look nice...Ya know, for a nerd..." Kacchan mumbled as he took hold of my hand.

"Thanks, Kacchan! You look good too!" I reply, squeezing his hand slightly. The way his face turned red after that was too adorable, I couldn't help but laugh a little. 

~Time skip! Moving things right along!~

We reached the park's entrance and my excitement exceeds the normal level of excitement for most people. I started to quicken my pace.

"Geez, nerd, it's just a park...Get over yourself." Kacchan griped as he pulled me back a bit.

"Yeah, but I'm gonna be spending the afternoon with you! How can I not be excited!" 

"Okay, but can you maybe keep it down a bit? I don't want any unwanted attention..."

"Alright, I'll be quieter...Only for you, Kacchan." I say, a smile spreading across my face. Kacchan just rolled his eyes and shook his head with an amused smile.

"Hmf, then be a good little nerd alright?" He said, playfully ruffling my hair as he let out a sigh.

"What am I gonna do with you?" He mumbled.

"Share a picnic, of course! We didn't pack all this stuff for nothing!" I joke with a little twirl as I stuck the basket in his face a bit. 

"Whatever, let's just find a spot already..." He says with an eye roll. 

~Bakugo's POV~

It took us a minute or two, but the nerd finally found a spot he was comfortable with - took him long enough! I mean, of course, I want him to be comfortable but if you could, like, hurry it up that'd be great...

"What a terrific spot! Don't cha think, Kacchan?" The nerd said with an uncomfortably bright and adorable smile. 

"Pfft... Yeah, it's a good spot... I'm glad you're comfortable, Deku." I say, looking around the area. We start diving into our packed lunches, we'd planned this day a few weeks in advance just so we could find common ground on what dishes we wanted to bring. We ended up agreeing on bringing our favorite dishes - go figure. Deku takes the lead on our conversation, I don't really mind, but I do steer the conversation a bit if he starts going on a tangent. 

By the time we finish up our meal, the sun has begun to set.

"Alright, nerd, let's get going before Auntie has a panic attack." I half-joked, picking up our trash.

"R-right!" Deku pipped up as he shuffled to clean up as well. We get everything together finally and start heading out. I feel Deku tug on my sleeve just as we passed some sort of fountain that I haven't seen around here - must be new.

"Oh, can we check out the fountain? It looks new!" Deku asks. I comply with a roll of my eyes and we approach the fountain. 

"It looks like it's a wishing fountain! Ah, I'm gonna make a wish!" Deku said with overwhelming glee as he pulled a coin out of his pocket. He closes his eyes for a solid minute it seemed then threw the coin into the water. 

"So, what did ya wish for, nerd?" I ask.

"I can't tell you that~," He whined, "then it won't come true!" I rolled my eyes as he just laughed at my question. 

"You really don't believe in that, do you?" I ask even though I know what his answer was.

"Of course, I do, Kacchan! Why would you ask that?" He says with a laugh.

"Don't go filling your head with fairytales now!" I say, aggressively fluffing up his hair. He just laughs and I eventually join in as we made our way to Deku's house.

"Alright, well, here we are! I'm glad we did this, I had so much fun!" Deku said. Just before he turned to his door, I grabbed his wrist and take a deep breath.

"I'll make sure to plan another date soon then, nerd," I say, kissing him as I took my leave. Nailed it, I thought as I skipped off to my house.

~Deku's POV~

I watched Kacchan leave... That was all I could do! OMG!! He kissed me!! I thought as I rushed into my house and to my room, blushing like crazy. I looked at the clock on my desk, it read 7:45, it was gonna be a long night... And I've got school tomorrow...

Thanks, Kacchan... I thought, stuffing my face in my pillow.
