"Huh, looks empty. Of course, there are the oh-so-friendly roaches, flies and.....maggots?"

I squinted at the floor and crouched to investigate the rat corpse closer before Nate pulled me back. He groaned as he did so in frustration.

"Don't we have a task at hand, Anti?"

I looked back at him and huffed in reluctance, my shoulders dropping. "The maggots were cool, okay?"

"You overgrown child." "Says the one who's into Pokemon like a crack addict." "Hey-!"

I snorted as I started to walk down the chamber halls, dripping sounds echoing up and down the brick walls. "This isn't eerie at all."

"I don't think this is the best time to be sarcastic." Nate trailed behind me closely, his eyes scanning the area. His shoulders were tensed up and his hands were clenched tightly. My tail swayed side to side as my ears flicked periodically.

I peeked around each corner before we turned it, most bearing unfruitful results. There were a couple that had some guards, but we would either wait til they turned down another hall or wait in an empty cell until they passed by. They were hilariously ignorant.

Then we turned down the corridor that echoed her voice.

Once I heard it, my ears shot up, my tail shot out, and my body went into overdrive.

"Anti, no-"

I shot down the halls, following the sweet sound of her voice. I banked around corners, swung around others and then I made it around the last one.

"Dark, I swear to whatever you believe in. You can't kill me with a screw. Maybe if it has rust. But just a metal screw, nah."

"You really underestimate me, little one.

"Fight. Me. Bitch."

I broke into the cell with a roar to see Dark leaning against the wall and (Y/N). The sight caused my anger to well up even more, red clouding my sight to the point I could barely see.

"Dark. Step away from her. NOW."

"Make me, you Irish whore."

I launched myself at him with my arms and claws outstretched, a howl escaping my chest. One hand landed on his neck while the other landed on his face. I started to scratch and bite furiously, not really focusing where. I felt pain searing in my side and my face, but I didn't focus on that. I couldn't

I heard jangling behind me and feet scuffling. I shoved myself away and started to run away from Dark, running on three limbs due to the fact my left leg felt like it was on fire. I could barely see but I followed the sound of scuffling until I saw sunlight and felt Nate pick me up.

"It's okay, I got you bud. You're okay."

"And I'm okay. We're free." (Y/N) piped up, walking beside of us.

I slowly blacked out in Nate's arms, the blood loss exhausting me.
