Much to my disappointment, I was pulled out of my slumber by the sound of my phone vibrating against the nightstand.

Gradually, I freed my arm from underneath my torso to reach for the device. When I tilted it toward me, my eyes squinted and tried to adjust to the light of the screen and I recognized his contact name.

With a light sigh I answered the call and peered at the digital clock to my right. 1:52AM.

"Y/N?" he quietly questioned through the phone.

"Yeah," I sleepily croaked, "What's wrong?" I slowly began to sit up in my bed.

"Nothing, just meet me outside of your house in 10."

We stayed on the line, with my phone pressed between my cheek and shoulder, I pulled on a grey pair of sweatpants and tied its drawstring into a bow. I wandered over to my dresser on the other side of the room to fish out a pair of socks from the top drawer and slipped them onto my feet. I tried questioning his motives, but he avoided answering and hung up.

Sliding out of my room with a hoodie draped on my arm and a pair of shoes in hand, I made my journey down the hallway and stairs to grab my set of keys from the kitchen counter. I went to the front door and eased it open as to not wake anyone. Then locked the deadbolt after closing the door behind me and made my way to his car.

As I ducked into the vehicle I was greeted with the familiar smile of the boy I had known for quite some time now.

Jeno.

I returned my friend's warm smile as I moved to sit in the passenger's.

"Aren't you cold?"

I swung my arm up a bit to show the black hoodie under the dim interior lights of the Saab, "Nah."

He rolled his eyes and gently grabbed it from me, observing my socked feet, "Put on your shoes already," he me flashed a tired smile, " we have some where to be."

"You may have not noticed, but," I glanced at the dashboard, "there's not much to do at this hour."

He looked at me for a second, then averted his gaze to the wheel, "I wanted you to come to Walmart with me."

After taking a moment to comprehend his words, I slightly shook my head and chuckled, "Its 2:17AM, what do you need there?" I grabbed my hoodie from him and slid it on.

He sighed and continued fidgeting with his key chains. I noticed him roll the cat one I made him some years ago between his fingers. "They need kitty litter."

I stared at him for a second in disbelief, "Your nocturnal-ass dragged me outta bed to go to Walmart?" He looked back over to me and I pointed out to the dark street ahead of us, "Well start the car already. Let's get some ice cream while we're there too."
