"Y/N L/N," I jolted up in my seat and looked ahead. My eyes met the dark ones of my English teacher, "I'll have you know that it is extremely rude to be nose deep in dreamland while I'm actively trying to teach a class..."

He kept rambling on and on about manners and just how fascinating he thinks all this information is, but I had zoned out.

Completely.

There was no use of trying to get me to absorb anything. I had only gotten a couple hours of sleep  the night before. Between that trip with Jeno and the long, and I mean l o n g, lecture from my dad, any hopes of a decent night's sleep were out the window.

Before I knew it, lunch had arrived and I was making my way outside to our bench. As soon as I reached it I slumped into the seat next to Jaemin, who cut off his own conversation with Jeno, "So, I hear you've been on quite the adventure," he turned to look at Jeno then turned back to me, "He says you still can't drive."

"Well, tell him he can stuff it up his ass because his granny driving sold me out of last night's sleep."

Jaemin tried to muffle his laughter; instead a snort escaped him as he laughed at the offended looking Jeno who sat to his left. Jeno looked to me and pressed, "What do you mean?"

"You took your sweet time leaving my neighborhood in the damn middle of the night and passed by my dad's car while you were at it," Jaemin sat up and was listening too, "how do you think that looked to him? You and I hanging out that late on a school night. I was in for a lecture and a half when he got home."

Donghyuck came around from the back of the bench and stood in front of me. He crouched and looked sideways at me, "have you slept at all this week?" before I could even reply he started asking Jaemin where Renjun was because he owed him lunch. I was trying to stay awake but my eyelids kept feeling heavier...heavier.

Jeno had let me sleep through our lunch period, but when he poked my shoulder it felt like I had only blinked. Jaemin and Hyuck were gone and he said lunch was going to end soon, so we grabbed our stuff and headed across the campus to our sixth period: Photography. We walked in silence for a while until, "I'm sorry."

"For?" I looked at him, confused. He didn't really need to apologize, I agreed to go with him. I was already pretty sleep deprived to begin with. I didn't get into too much trouble, and its always nice to drive at night, "Its fine, I could go for some ice cream though..."

He pouted, "...to tide you over the heartache of being torn away from your snack last night," he looked up, pretending to think, "as I remember it, that was me trying to help you not get caught. Hmm?"

"Didn't really work out in the end now did it?" I walked ahead of him so that I could get through the classroom door, and took my seat.
