It's not normal to find yourself looking at a black dog like creature with a skeletal face staring at you at eye height in the back alley of Walmart on a Saturday night. Nor is it satisfying to find out that I'm the first person she's seen after she lost her way and ended up behind the big blue supermarket. What sucks about this even more is the fact that you thought it would be a good idea to go behind the store at night to make "getting home" quicker so you could watch some TV, but it seems like you've fallen into the worst situation you could ever possibly imagine... or so I thought...

I froze.
The creature stared at me in half of the building's shadow and reflected by the blue store's street light. Her white eyes glowed and glistened as she followed my every move, not letting me leave her sight. We stood and stared at each other for what it felt like almost an hour.

Yet, It was strange....

She never brought herself to attacking me, or eating my face off into a million pieces, or even sucking my soul out of my body from sheer hunger for some unknown reason, even though her appearance looked like she had the capability to do so... it was odd like.
However, it shocked me even more to hear that rather than her taking my life as her first victim, she asked in a grim voice, "Do you have a place to stay?"...

"A-.... whaa-?" At first it startled you that a creature like her would ask that certain question, yet, it confused me as to why. You watched her in shock as she asked me again, never hesitating and staring at me straight on, like a showdown in the Wild West. It took you some time to come to realize that she wasn't looking to kill or hurt anybody, but just rather, a warm place to shelter her for the night. Though as much as myself somehow thought that her looking for a warm place to stay was a bit cute, my body was still scared and hesitant towards her.

I asked her, "... s-say that again?..."
She returned her apply, but with a more, stern tone. "Do you have a place to stay?"

I was silent. It even caught me off guard a third time. I tensed my vocal cords, but all that came out was a faint, "...w-...why?"

She replied back, "Because It's not safe for me out here."
I thought to myself, **(Safe for you? Hah! It's probably not safe for me to be here in front of you!)**

"Why not safe?"
She was silent for a few seconds.
"A person out here is trying to hunt me down and end me for good."
**(Probably can tell why in this case...)**

"Well how can I trust that you're not going to eat me or suck my soul from my body?"
"Because if I were to ever do that to you, I would've already done so...."
It wasn't really reassuring to hear that, but it was better to know some confirmation in this case. "Fair enough..., but wait! Who are you? Why are you even trusting me?"

She turned her head to look over her shoulder and back to me, saying, "I'll tell you when we go to your place to hide."

My mind was racing with a ton of questions,, but with the bigger one of whether I should take her with me. I tried telling myself to say no to her, but my body said differently, by unconsciously telling the mythical creature, "Okay, follow me"
