She was still contemplating whether to turn right or left when she heard angry footsteps behind the door. Just imagining the man walking to the door and finding her still on the other side terrifies her.

She seriously needs to control her temper sometimes. If she was going to be a pussy, she shouldn't have slapped a man who was obviously stronger than her and acted all high and mighty afterwards.

The doorknob rattles and she panicked. Any second and she could be facing the grim reaper. A six foot handsome version of him anyway.

'Oh fuck it.' She ran like the devil was on her heels, which probably wasn't far off. The man she encountered looked like the sort that shouldn't be triffled. And right now he was hot on her heels. His heavy footsteps reverberating in the quiet hallway.

As she was running from one hallway to another trying to find someone to help her, she noticed that she hasn't seen or encountered a single person.

Where are people when you need them!

She can hear his heavy footsteps getting closer. His fast pace matching her thumping heart that's about ready to jump out of her ribcage.

'Shit!' She said under her breath. She's at a dead end. She ran back to the other side hoping he was still far enough from her, but no such luck. When she ran back she saw him a few meters to her right, at the end of the last hallway she turned. And it wasn't just her, he saw her too.

'You!...' He said, his voice loud enough for her to hear. He was looking at her menacingly. Even from this distance she can feel his deadly stare.

She did not wait for him to finish. She ran like she had never ran in her life. She turned right, then left then another left, the hallways blurring in her memory. She was more focused on not getting caught than finding her way.

'Damn it!' She was at a dead end again. She's facing a window looking over a garden. Just outside she can see Mr. Scotfield and Mr. Tauran sitting, facing each other enjoying their breakfast.

So that's where they went. Good to know they were having a fantastic time while she's busy running away from a mad man!

She stopped looking at the people outside. She looked behind her, when she saw his shadow her heart stopped. She looked around in panick and entered one of the rooms to her right. With her back leaning on the door she scanned the room she entered, aware of her heart beating loudly in her ears.

She entered a library a very massive one at that. There are bookshelves everywhere and even a second floor. Which means a lot of places to hide. It's good to know she hasn't run out of luck yet.

'I know you're in here somewhere. I will give you a chance to come out and face me. And maybe I will be linient with you.' He said, his voice sounding like it was on the other side of the door.

She looked under her feet seeing his shadow underneath.

He's so close!

Slowly backing out of the door, she quietly moved away. She whipped her head left and right finding a good spot to hide.

'I know where you are. You can't hide from me.' He said almost like his delivering my last sentence before killing me. Which could happen if she doesn't find a good hiding place and fast!

She ran to the winding staircase leading to the second landing. She did not have much time. When she heard the door open her body acted on instinct and launched herself to the ground. The flat concrete baluster covering her body.
