The Invasion 2: Itazura's Revenge

A New(ish) Threat

"I'm sorry, what?" 

"I can turn you into a demon, exactly like how I am. It'll change everything, your strength, durability, everything. Even your DNA. It needs a special ritual... and my blood. Think about it. You could turn invisible like me, and you can have your very own beautiful wings." Shane then released his wings and flapped them, showing them off. People were staring, but Shane immediately withdrew them into his back. "You know, Charles is thinking about doing the same with Lillian..."

What the hell did he just say to her.

"I don't... and will I be turned back into my human...ish... body?" She only received a head shake in response. Goddammit... she thought.

"Fine... I guess I'll do it."

"Are you sure you want to-"

"Every word you say will make me consider changing my mind more and more."

Shane chuckled at that. He knew Vanisty was insolent and immature, yet he loved her for it. She wasn't afraid of to share what she thinks about herself and others. Even Itazura last year. She was brave, unlike him.

"Maybe your conversion will happen in a week?"

"I'll consider it a date, then."

With that, the two walked to a patio to continue talking. Meanwhile Charles and Lillian sat down in a quiet room. Just the two of them. 

"So Lillie, what's up? We haven't seen each other in person in forever... I missed you." His tone was flirtatious. Despite Lillian's undying love for him, even she thought it was a horrible flirting attempt. 

"School has been eating my time, my parents are telling me to get a job now that I'm sixteen, and boys have been bugging me with love confessions. I have never had anybody confess a crush to me before! It's all because I "saved the world" that they say I'm "cute" as much as Vanisty." 

"Are you jealous of her?"

"No, no... Okay. Yes, yes I am. She always gets boys to talk to her. Her popularity basically skyrocketed when we came back to school last year. Even the amount of boys confessing to her..."

"I thought the same was happening to you."

"Well, yes, but only because we fought Satsujin. Before that, everyone thought I was weird."

"Oh... would you be annoyed if there was one more boy that confessed love to you?"

"Really? I wonder who that could be-"

She was interrupted by the familiar feeling. Once again, Charles surprise kissed her. Funny, she was just complaining about boys, yet here she is getting kissed by who people say is one of the most handsome men alive.

"Was that your confession, Charles?"

"Yup."

"Do it again. Confess anywhere you want..." Lillian had a tone of lust in her voice.

It was a pleasant time for both of them, until they heard a loud bang.

A man(?) holding a firearm shot into the air. He... or so it looked like, was clearly not human. Loud screams could be heard from about a mile away. Seconds later, the creature was joined by three more accomplices. The lead creature spoke.

"I'm looking for a pair of twins! Robin and Roland Jones, I know you're here! The more time you take to get out, the more people are gonna get their skulls rearranged!!"

Who were these "Robin" and "Roland" twins it was talking about? After hearing that, Shane transformed into a transparent state after the creature ordered the people attend the party on the ground. He grabbed Vanisty and ran outside to safety. 

"Shane! What are you doing?! Are we just gonna run away?!" Vanisty spoke.

"We're not running away. I'm trying to come up with a plan, even though it seems risky."

Inside the room where Charles and Lillian were staying in, the two were trapped. It didn't have any windows or a second door out. The only thing they could do is prepare for battle.

"What do we do, what do we do?!" Lillian asked, panicked.

"Lillian, it seems we're gonna have to fight our way outta here... Get ready." With that said, Charles gave the door in front of him a hardened look before setting his own hands ablaze.
