Chapter 2

Taylor

"3,2,1!" I opened the door and we looked around. We heard faint banging coming from the closet, "Em put Sky somewhere safe."

"Ok." Em looked around and placed Sky on a high dresser by a bed.

"I'm gonna open the closet, Edelyn protect Sky." I told her, and she walks over to Sky standing in front of her. "NO ONE SHALL TOUCH THE PRINCESS OF NARNIA." Lyn protested holding her gun, making Sky giggle.

"Ok, you ready?" I asked Em, and she nodded. "Yeah." She told me, and I focused her attention in the closet.

I flung the door open and out it came. Sky screamed, making me lose focus. And after, all I heard was a gun fire.

Em and I looked at Lyn, shocked. "Amateurs..." She scoffed, and walked away to the other room as if nothing happened.

Em rolled her eyes and walked over to Sky, taking her into his arms and walking out with me as we followed Lyn to the other room.

Matt, Shawn and Aaron ran up the stairs. "What happened?" Matt asked. "We heard Sky scream." Aaron said. "You guys are so slow! But it was nothing, just a walker trapped in the closet." I told them calmly, shrugging it off.

"Should we take Sky down with us?" Shawn asked. " Yeah sure," Em told them, handing Sky to Matt and they took her downstairs.

"Make sure you protect her!" Em yelled. "Alright!" Aaron yelled back, making Em chuckle.

We searched through the rest of the house and found some more supplies. We walked back down stairs and found the boys "cooking food."

By cooking, I don't mean on a stove. Somehow, they managed to create a fire... And by food. I just mean beans in a can....

"Let us take the matches before you burn your hands off. And we don't want the food burnt." Lyn and Em said laughing.

As we ate silently, "enjoying" our meal, Nash spoke up.

"I think we should board the windows." We all nodded in agreement. "Wait," I said, "isn't the tool shed at the back of the house?" I asked, the annoyance in my voice shown.

"Yeah, Taylor's right for once." Lyn laughed. "Shut up." I said as I playfully pushed her. "Well, who's gonna volunteer?" Nash asked like a smart ass. "Lyn, Aaron and I volunteer." I said confidently. "Whoever said I wanted to volunteer?!" Lyn said angrily.

"Because I said so." I told her, and continued eating my beans.

"That's not a proper answer..." Lyn said under her breath. "Oh well." I retorted.

"Let's just go to the shed!" Aaron snapped, and I laughed to myself.
