After the sudden invasion by the tyranical Tom-Tom gang upon the Time-Factory: the Time-Sweepers within scattered to find a solution to the home that was steadily slipping from their grasp. They devised a plan among whom a mysterious, but promising newcomer with a penchant for fasion to study and if possible obtain the shattered remains of the Big Time-Crystal, with which the Tom-Toms were suspected of causing.
Amidst the onslaught of Time-Sweepers however was a team of extraordinary soldiers led by the Guardian of B1Q64: Blinx, the crimson feline himself, tasked with infiltrating high-value targets under Benito's watch, and the containment of the escalating situation that brought them there (welll... as much watch as sleeping on a gorgeous island in the middle of nowhere would suggest really).
"I can't believe the boss actually pulled it off!" the guard proudly announced.
"'The boss' Ha! He could hardly pull himself off the couch, nevermind pull one under the Sweepers noses! That was all us that pulled it off!" his ally snarkily, triumphed.
"Heh, I guess you're right... wonder how we got so many people though? The last time I saw we were two men down from even robbing a piggy-bank, nevermind the Time-Factory..." the bewildered pig question, gesturing towards the clear lack of hygiene they had displayed after their previous heist "underperformed" according to their "all-gracious" leader.
"How should I know? Maybe it's bacon season?" he taunted slight, with a roaring grin, as he valliantly defended the spoils he had "borrowed" from the buddies he had in high places (they really just opened the fridge when he was on about his newly developed ravings about some girl called Mina whilst he was sleeping: only way he could get hitched like that).
"Heh, as if those knuckleheads.... Sweepers approaching!" his smug attempts to mock his fellow soldiers were interrupted by the aura of a Sweeper gate opening, blinding everyone with it's spectrum of neon colours, only to reveal...
"Is that.... Blinx?" he gasped in awe, trembling in fear of the stories he had heard, especially with his gang involved.
"Heh heh... the boss is gonna pay handsomely for this: turkey's on the menu tonight boys! We're gonna get those Sweepers! But leave the ginger beer for me... I've got a score to settle with that "Tom" cat!" his buddy lampooned as he initiated the surrounding forces in preparation for the traditional Sweeper entrance.
The Sweepers flawlessly executed their routine as their fabled feet gripped the soul of the sand that now embraced the ruins of time before them, but not before the tattered tabby-cat behind him had found himself flat on his face, as though the planet itself wanted to welcome the arrival of it's esteemed guests as a token for their service.
"You ok, Spencer?" asked the curious, but suspiciously concerned Time-Sweeper before him.
"Yeah... just lost my balance that's all... guess I'm not a good cat either then heh" He modestly dimed as he was once again enthusiastically introduced to the iconic cheeky grin of his mentor as he offered his hand to help him up.
"Heh, reminds me of when I started as well... so many misjudged manuevres, and so many rookie mistakes, but don't worry: you've got us here for you!" the cat admired as the mutual handshake led into an uncomfortably long hug for his newly inducted team-mate.
"Now I know what Picaro was warning me about..." he internally groaned as the cat's grip had finally began to loosen.
"Thanks Blinx... always nice to get some, uh... good support from my team" he frantically gasped as he felt the tight grip of his friend's surprisingly strong hands upon his mistreated stomach, that the Tom-Toms so rudely interrupted during their breakfast, and Litterbox gaming feast (explains the strong hands with two Dukes in the buisness now).
"Heh, yeah: I got you!" Blinx understood, but was subtly disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm for his trademark hugs that he always loved to remind his Sweeper family with.
"Uh, Blinx... I don't feel like interrupting the feel-good moment, but... somebody's been here" he surveyed as he picked up the half-eaten leg of a disgustingly fresh chicken surprise, much to the ambushers in wait displeasure...
"They're onto us, boys! Attack" the team was brushed with the incoming fire of an entire squad of Tom-Toms firing nonstop upon their position, but the quick reflexes of the feline, and the strategic mind of a Sweeper came together to form a perfectly, elegant counter-attack: a force so capable and overwhelming that eventually, the gangs forces found themselves dwindling into the single digits. Their skills in combat decaying the more their allies found themselves plastered against the very objects they once called home.
"Eh... I think I've had enough to eat lately!" welped the sole remaining Tom-Tom as he struggled to flee from the once mythical team steadily pursuing him, but the more he heaved and huffed, the more he realized that he the wolves he were running from were eventually gonna bring the house down, falling defeated to the ground in surrender: he unwillingly looked in the face of his captors, and the long trek he had winded down"
"I swear I ran further in my head...." a tired but woefully amused snort escaped from the pig, as he inspected the 4 inch trail leading to his body's imprint against the soil, and awaited whatever punishment his gang always warned him about.
"You fought valiantly - that's a sign of great courage, and loyalty: you should be proud of that. Would you mind if you can take a seat, and explain to us what your gang is interested in, exactly?" the pig was shocked as the multitude of vulgar insults, and painful almost horrible ways his boss had labelled them with in their treatment of his gang suddenly derailed in his most vulnerable moment, as the Sweeper spoken about as one of the most ruthless and deadly of his kind, was looking at him more fondly than even his own friends do.
"But... our gang invaded your home... your world, everything... shouldn't you be using that vacuum cleaner of yours to wipe me clean like the others?" the Tom-Tom shed in disbelief, and subconsciously scurried in terror, as the saviour of the Princess simply smiled warmly in reply, and gestured with a welcoming hand.
"You look tired - wanna rest with us over some bubble tea?" The pig visibly sneered at the milk suggestion almost to Blinx's mild annoyance, and Blinx's teamates seemed taken aback by his sudden formalities with what was moments ago their enemy, but his neverending stubborness shone through in the end, and the Tom-Tom for once found himself among almost good company...
"Yeah... but you got any catnip instead? Not much a bubbly kinda guy... and what's with the scar? Is that some new kinda fashion for you cats?" Blinx lit up more than he ever did before, and embraced his new friend in mutual honour.
"I thought you would never ask, and let's do it somewhere less... rubbly? I've had enough of pebbles for a good... lifetime" Blinx squirmed amongst his delight, much to the complete and utter confusion of his ex-prisoner, now-friend before him.
"The boss wasn't lying... these Sweepers aaaareee weird" his thoughts slipped out, as he eased himself into sipping on his bubble tea + catnip surprise, absorbing the Aztec antics he would have to deal with for the forseeable future.
