Broken

I made eye contact with Eve, for around five seconds straight, there was only one way out of this and she exactly knew what was coming. I sat down in front of her and crossed my legs. I had to let it all out before it was all over, before I had finish everything. I couldn't hold my tears back and with a cracked voice I said "I have suffered enough for these past years, living with out you is really hard, and this was never supposed to happen. My plan was very different, but here we are now, and there is no way we can go back" She started crying but still wouldn't talk.

I continued "My heart is broken and full of darkness since the day you left. Only in my dreams we are together and I hate waking up to reality where you are not part of my life. I still remember the day you broke up with me, you had the saddest smile, telling me that everything would be fine but you needed some time to make sure you were what I needed in my life. It's been a few years since I left all of our dreams in the spot where we last had a conversation. I really couldn't understand why things happen the way they did, days before our break up you had told me how much you loved me, how did that love die so quickly? I went days without sleeping, sometimes I just couldn't get you out of my mind, and other nights I would cause my painful nights by listening to our songs, and reading our old messages. I am such a coward, I would rather die, than accept my future without you.  Do you have any idea what is like to live when you are not loved by the person you love the most? I wish I had never met you. Smiling is so hard, breathing feels so heavy and I can't love anyone anymore." I held her hand and put it on my chest.

I helped her up, and we started walking out of the abandoned house we were in. She wasn't refusing or putting up a fight to go against my will. we both got in the car and I started it. I drove us to a forest that was thirty five minutes away from the city. My heart was beating faster by the minute. When we finally arrived, I turned off the car and she said to me "I am really sorry about everything" We both got off the car, and I opened up my trunk, I took out a back pack that had my survival kit. It was getting darker and colder, after walking for around fifteen minutes in the woods, we sat down and started a little fire to help us with the cold weather. We were there for a few hours, not saying anything and just staring at the fire.

I told her it was time for everything to end, she quickly put her head down. My hands were shaking as I was opening up my back pack, I started sweating as If I was inside a sauna room. I took out a rope, and I started looking for a strong tree. Once I found a decent tree, I asked her to come over, she walked towards me and time seemed to slow down. I climbed the tree and tied up the rope to one of the thickest branches. Eve got on her knees, started crying and saying " Please stop, I will not say a word about this" but it was already too late. I finished up the knot, I put the rope around my neck and looking at her said, I will always love you, and please forgive me for causing you all this pain. I let go of myself, I couldn't breath, it was a horrible feeling, the pressure inside my head was insane. I started feeling less and less by the second, I closed my eyes and never opened them again.
