"LET ME SEE the baby."
Izzy turned away from Rick's frozen state, to Hershel who was now looking at the baby who is in Carls' arms.
"We're gonna feed it," Izzy spoke up, her voice wavering. "I don't think we have anything a baby can eat," She stated, her mind going back to the time where her brothers and her had to take care of a shapeshifting baby. It was pretty much the same thing, except this baby can't change.
"The good news is she looks healthy." Hershel looked up at the brunette and Daryl who was slightly behind her. "But she needs formula. And soon, or she won't survive."
"Uh-huh." Daryl shook his head, his face going cold as he thought about losing another person.
"No. No way. Not her," Izzy muttered, fiercely wiping at her face, trying to get rid of any evidence of her crying.
Daryl placed his hand on her shoulder, looking down at her with determined eyes. "We ain't losing nobody else. I'm going for a run." He gave her a questioning look. "You comin'?" He was not going to leave her behind, especially in the state she was in.
She nodded my head. "Of course."
He nodded his head, too. "Okay, think where we're going." He tapped Beth on the shoulder. "Beth." He lowered his head down to talk to her. "Kid just lost his mom. His dad ain't doing so hot."
Beth nodded, glancing at me. "I'll look out for him."
Izzy turned to Axel and Oscar, barely noticing her own two hands shaking. "You two get the fence. Too many pile up, we got ourselves a problem," she ordered, running a hand through her dark, blood covered locks. She didn't want them to see her broken, weak, small, because she didn't want the others to fall apart. She's gotta be strong for them.
"Izzy..." Jack trailed off as he walked towards the older brunette, the one person who's been by his side since the very beginning. "Can I—"
"No," she interrupted him, giving him a hard look. "You stay here, look after Beth and the others, okay?"
"Iz—" He stopped himself once he saw the determined and hard look in her dark eyes. "Okay, fine." He wrapped her in a hug, surprising her, but she hugged him back, smiling softly. "Be careful. I know you'll be with Daryl, but still, come back home to me."
Izzy sniffles slightly and patted his head. "I will, Jack." She pulled back from the hug and laid her hand on his cheek. "You better watch yourself, too, Jack. I want to come back here with you and everyone else in one piece. You got that?"
