Chapter 7

         Char in MM

I turned around and there she was.

"Char boo!" My mom squeezed me tight. I hugged her right back. She hasn't hugged me like that in years. We sat down at a table and she explained it all.

"Char, let me start by apologizing. I apologize for not being a mother. Not only to you but to all 4 of my children. Motherhood is a blessing. And I had missed that blessing for a year and I'm greatly sorry. I put drugs and other men before my own babies and husband. I still today can't and don't forgive myself for what I did. I'm sorry Charlene. I love you."

She had me at I'm sorry. I was at a loss of words.

"Apology accepted mama. I love you too." I got up and hugged my mother. I really did miss her. After our hug the whole family (including Jasmine) went to Olive Garden. Daddy invited Mama too. When we got our table I sat in between momma and LisaRae. We caught up on alot with momma. She's been going to rehab for the past 8 months and has been clean/sober ever since. She works as the Executive of Versace. She also has drives in a brand new Range Rover. (I rode shot gun on the way here) I was pretty impressed though. She even lives in a 5 bedroom penthouse all to herself.

"What's that on your finger?" LisaRae asked. Everyone at the table looked at mama.

"Well, I'm engaged to a man that I met at counseling." She showed off her engagement ring. It looked way more expansive than what Daddy got Jas. Everyone but Jasmine congratulated her. Maybe she jealous.

"Char,I was wondering if you wanted to an all girls after party at my house.  You and LisaRae can invite all your friends if you want."

Right before I could pick up my phone to text Lianny & Demi LisaRae got up and came to me.

"Char, can we just have a all girls night with just me,you,and mama. Just for old time's sake." I kinda did want to have a girls night with mama though.

"Sure. Let's ask Daddy first." I walked over to where him and Has were sitting. Her stomach was kinda poking out but I didn't think anything of it.

"Aye dad, is it okay if me and LisaRae spend the night at mom's house?"

"Mom's?" Jas said loud enough for all the other tables to turn and look. She started laughing like it was hilarious. I swear I was  about to beat her ratchet ass. He glared at her.

"You sure about that love? I mean you two could spend the night at one of your friend's houses." Jasmine' s sneeky ass smirked.

"Yes daddy, We're positive." LisaRae said confidently.

"Aight,Y'all have my permission."

"Thank you daddy! "

We both have him a hug and a kiss. We found her at the door talking to the twins. She gave them each $100. Lucky asses.

"Y'all ready?" She said getting her Gucci purse. We nodded our heads and left the restaurant.
