So many party lights, fades in and fades out around the room where people are dancing on the dance floor, talking to each other on the lounges or near to the bartender, and waiting someone from the bathroom to let it all out.
But I have to keep the party appropriate, since I'm the organizer of this place. Have to keep the atmosphere fun, talking to strangers and kick out the rule breakers in the party. It's a habit for me, because that's what I do every week. Keeping up people smiles, but I don't feel happy at all when I cheer someone up because they're suffering and try to make them feel a little better because of their situation right now in life and brought up in this party too.
I'm not alone for organizing this party, I got a group. Been planning parties and host them in every week but we would fall down together sometimes but managed to get up. Their smiles and laughter cheers me up sometimes but mostly I'm down. That's fine. I'm still me, loving my job.
While I walk around the party, I see new guys around the place. They start shouting at each other and dancing together but except for one guy, he went straightforward to the bar and sits down then rising up his hand. "Let me give him a warm welcome from me" I whispered to myself.
I walk up and sit down beside him, calling up my friend who is the bartender
"Hey Luis!" I called out, he turns around and looks at me then smiled
"What do you need, Pam?" Luis asked me and wiping up the bottle, I turned around and look at the new guy then asked him "What drink were you ordering mate?" he looked at me surprisingly and responded "just coffee". I looked at Luis and said "One coffee and my favorite drink"
"One coffee and one special drink, coming right up" Luis turned around and asking the customers, I turned around looking at the guy again and smiled
"No worries mate, the treat is on me. As always to the new comers" I told him
"T-Thanks, didn't knew this kind of party does that" he responded and taps his fingers on the table, seems like he doesn't want to be in the conversation. Well he have no choice to speak up, as the Girl who keeps up the atmosphere fun.
"My name is Pam, What's yours?"
"It's Zed, nice to meet you..." he gave a weird expression
"How ya been doin' lately?"
"I'm fine I guess"
"That's great, something special happened today?" I asked another question, to keep the boring atmosphere off. But he kept bringing it up
"You ask too many questions" he responded in a deep tone, and laughed. He taps his fingers on the table again, but this time looking at me directly to the eyes. The color of his pupils are gold and while around it, is dark.
"Here's your drinks" Luis placed the coffee near to Zed, while he placed my favorite drink near to me. Poison Drink, it is poisonous but the poison doesn't kill me. "Aren't you gonna get killed by that?" Zed asked, and pointing at it. I giggled, and hold my drink up. "It is a poison drink, but I don't get killed by it, somehow it taste delicious for me." I take a sip and put it down "Don't worry that much Mate. I will be alright" I added to my sentence and gave him a smile.
"As you say so" he looked at his coffee, and giving it a little blow. Then take a sip, slowly putting it down. This guy feels quite uncomfortable around me, doesn't he? As I chatter, and chatter to him. He isn't really interested to talk with me that much, it's been 3 hours, he doesn't talk back.
