Beams of light burst into the starless night, wind whispered through the branches and rustled the leaves. Her heart thud louder and louder as she walks ahead the abandoned two-storey house, chills chased up their spine as they follow her "are we really gonna do this in the middle of the night?" Says Theo "so you expect us to do this during noon time?" Keanie replied as if everything's cool.
A deafening scream after the bats flew away the rusty and deserted gate . "Strictly no entry. Danger Zone" the sign on the gate warn, from the entrance came the enticing smell of burnt leaves . "Oh jeeeezzzz! oh jeeeezzzz! What did I just hit?... I'll Surely not be able to sleep after this hell of a trip of yours Keanie!" Bray said in a panicking voice
As they passed through the gate Keanie stand still in front of a huge red double door, "this is it, the Broken Mansion" she said, excitement is very evident to her voice, She gaze at them behind her and ask "You dare to come with me?" A moment of silence as they look around the spooky place "you won't right? I'm coming alone." and the moment she's about to open the door ... "Wa-wait! Okay! We're coming!" They said in unison. "Hurry up!"
The double door had cracked dark red paint screaming blood. "Theo you are the one to open the door okay?" Keanie. "W-what?!! Why me? Why not Jam?" "Damn you! Just do it!" annoyed Jam and pushed Theo towards the door and it opened, it made a creaking noise like every abandoned house did and then slammed shut behind them, "It's just the wind" Keanie, trying to convince them.
Soles slapping on asphalt while the five of them walks inside, the house looked grey and gloomy, dust and cobwebs floating in the air welcome them. The Mansion was not that huge even for a local standards. The musty smell of a house that had been long abandoned filled their nose. It was dim and uninviting.
Roamed around and they found the grand staircase , all of them cringed at each creak on the old warped stairs, but it didn’t sway Keanie's determination to make it to the second floor.
"I can't make it to the second floor! I don't wanna die caused of heart attack! I'll just wait here , Bray! We're best friends right? you'll wait here with me right?" Theo nervously spoke hoping for Bray to say yes. Bray just nodded and hurriedly went close to Theo.
"Tss. So gay! , Gonna post it on Facebook, your girls has to see how chicken you guys are!" Booey, as she focus the camera to Bray and Theo who are holding their hands as if they're praying together.Keanie roaming around the second and the last floor, as Jam and Booey started to chant their favorite quote in their every ghost hunting adventure the "know your exits" as they searched for the windows and there, they saw a large and divided into two parts window , it was broken and boarded up, it is the only window in the second floor, and it spooked them the most because it means it will going to be hard for them to escape when something bad happened.
The sounds of their shallow breaths filling their ears, "Damn! this place is suffocating! Why did we even went here Bray?" "I don't know! Jam just dragged us here! .. You know what? I think we should follow them upstairs its creepier when we're alone together." Bray replied stomping his feet to ease the tension.
Bray hold his flashlight tightly as he step closer to the staircase followed by Theo holding the tip of his jacket with his eyes closed when they heard a water gurgled down to a drainpipe "what the heck! how can an abandoned house still have its water meter connected?" "Maybe someone is living here to take over, tsk you're thinking too much." "You mean 'something' is living here Bray no man can stay in this kind of dreadful place"
A scream loud and obnoxious echoed in the house, panic creeps in before any rational thought is able to, so the four of them hurriedly went which room it is coming from.
"what's going on Keanie?!" Booey demand, her fear giving her the confidence to speak up
Keanie's gasping for air, clutching at the musty sheet beneath her, Theo looks up, noticing her struggle to breath and his eyes wide open.
