I suck at titles. This is a high school au. Lance is the popular guy and the school heart throb. Keith is one to blend in with the crowd. You'll see the others' roles sooner or later.

Keith wandered through the halls. He had a free period, and had nothing to do. He had no destination in mind. Keith was hoping he would run into a friend to have a conversation with.

Lance was at his locker, a crowd of girls around him. They were all trying to talk to him. Lance laughed. "Ladies. Please." Lance made his way out of the group. The girls all whined. He turned and winked at them before walking off.

Keith yawned. He didn't get much sleep that night. He ran into something, or someone. He almost fell, but a pair of strong arms caught him.

Lance walked through the halls. Out of nowhere, someone ran into him. He put his arms behind him to catch him. "Careful."

Keith opened his eyes to see who had caught him. He blushed when he saw who it was. "Oh my god! I am so sorry. I wasn't paying attention."

"It's no big deal. I love catching cute people." He smirked. He got the boy back on his feet and walked off.

Keith's heart went into overdrive. The school heart-throb, called him cute. He could tell he was blushing. He fumbled for his phone. He sent a message to Pidge.

Pidge was in the library reading. She saw her phone light up beside her. She reached for it and read the message. 'Pidge! Lance McClain just called me cute! Omg I'm freaking out! It's Lance FREAKING McClain!'

Pidge chuckled quietly. She typed out a reply. 'Calm down. You don't need to overreact. We can talk about this. Meet me at my locker in five.'

Keith read the message and put his phone away. He went down the hall and made a few turns. He waited at Pidge's locker for a few minutes.

Pidge found Keith at her locker. She walked up to him. "Okay. So tell me exactly what happened."

Keith took a deep breath. "So I was walking through the halls with nothing to do. I was tired and so naturally, I yawned. While my eyes were closed, I ran into him. He caught me from falling and picked me back up. I told him I was sorry and he said, and I quote, 'It's no big deal. I love catching cute people.' Then he winked at me and walked off." He explained the scene to her.

Pidge analyzed this information. "I say you talk to him. Get to know him, you know?"

Keith nodded. "How am I supposed to talk to him? He's always surrounded by girls."

"But when he walked away from you, there were no girls. Correct?" She asked.

"Correct. He had told them he needed to go so they stayed put." He answered.

"Get him when he's alone. Or maybe in class. You have math with him, don't you?"

"Yes. So I should talk to him in math?"

"Precisely."

"Okay. Thanks Pidge."

"Anytime."

Keith walked off. His next period was lunch, so he roamed over towards that direction.

After lunch, was the period Keith was dreading. Math. He walked in and sat by the window.

Lance entered the room. He looked for a place to sit. He saw the cute boy from the hallway and decided to sit with him.

Keith saw Lance sit next to him. "Oh it's you again. Hi." Keith mentally scolded himself for being awkward.

Lance smiled. "Hi. I never got your name."

Keith blushed a little. "Keith. Keith Kogane."

Lance chuckled. "Meet me under the bleachers after school." He said, before turning to talk to some friends.

«Time Skip»

Keith went under the bleachers. Lance was already there, staring at his phone. Keith approached him.

Lance looked up from his phone. "Hey. You made it."

"Yeah. I wasn't just gonna bail."

Lance smiled. "I have a question for you, cutie."

Keith blushed. "Y-Yeah?"

"Will you go to homecoming with me?"

Keith didn't think he could blush more. Boy was he wrong! "Wait, wh-What?"

Lance chuckled. "Will. You. Go. To. Home. Coming. With. Me?"

Keith looked at him for a second. Looking for any signs that this could be some sick joke. "Y-Yeah. Yeah I'll go with you."

Lance nodded. "Great. I'll pick you up Friday at 6. Sound good?"

"Yeah. Yeah that sounds good."

Lance smiled. "See you then, cutie." Lance kissed him on the cheek as he walked off.

Keith stood there blushing. This should be interesting.

Hey! Sorry it took so long. I hit a writing block in the middle of the one shot. Do you guys think I should write a one shot for homecoming? Leave a comment if so. Have a good day guys, girls, genderbends, and other gendered friends.
