Chapter 5

  "How about Starbucks? " Alexa volunteered. "Yay" Jas clapped. "I'm ok with that, what about you?" I ask Luke. He nods and continues back to his phone. I wonder what he's doing. We walk over to the food court and walk into the Starbucks. There's a huge line. We stand in the back and make small talk with Luke. "So are you single?" Alexa suddenly pipes up. "What the hell Alexa you can't just ask him that!" Jasmine whisper-yelled. "No it's ok, I am single" he chuckles. "Well in that case, you wanna go out?" Alexa asks him. "Alexa! You can't just ask out a guy you just met!" I yell. Suddenly everyone stares at us. "Go back to your coffee, nothing to see here" Jasmine scoffs. "I dont like being told off" Alexa rolls her eyes. Luke laughs, "That's flattering, but I just got out of a relationship literally 4 days ago so no, sorry" he says. She shrugs,  but I can see she's a little hurt.  "Oh I'm sorry" I put my hand on his shoulder and he jumps a little. I take my hand off. I wonder what's up with him. He smiles weakly and I walk up and order, "Grande Vanilla Frap please" "Caramel Frap, grande" Alexa says behind me. "Double chocolate chip frap, grande as well" Jasmine pipes up. "Green tea" Luke says, "On me"we smile as he pays. Such a gentleman. We grab our drinks and walk out.

"Now what?" Alexa asks. "Hollister!" Jasmine says. We nod and walk towards the Hollister. "When you're done meet by the front doors kay?" Alexa said. We agree and go our separate ways. I don't buy much since I'm saving up. My parents may be rich, but I like to buy my own stuff too. Right now, I'm saving for a camera since I want to start a YouTube channel. I buy a cute pink blouse and some white jeans. I finish buying and I spy Luke in the corner looking at his phone. He's been on that thing all day. I walk up to him and tap his shoulder,  "Hey" "Oh um hi" he said. I smile and we stand there awkwardly. "Do you happen to have a family member named Alyson?" he ramdomly bursts out. "What? No" I say, "well I don't think so why?" "No reason" he says. "We could always look at my family tree,  I mean my parents have a closet full with papers" I say. "Ok sure" he says.

I nod and wander through the store trying to find the girls. "Hey baby you taken?" a random guy says. "Yes now go away" I reply and keep walking. Idiot boys. I look back to see if he was still there, but thankfully he left. I eventually found Alex and Jas in the fitting rooms. "We're leaving" I say bluntly. "What? Why?" Alex says. "Because we are" I say getting annoyed. "Fine jeez sassy pants" Jas rolls her eyes and walks towards the cashier. I stare at Alexa until she walks towards the cashier as well while murmuring, "Alright, alright I'm going god" I smile as I swiftly turn and walk towards the front doors. I meet up with Luke there, "The girls are paying so they'll be here soon" "Great" he says. A couple minutes later Alexa and Jasmine show up. "Ready?" Luke asks. "Yea" Alexa responds. Alexa and I lock arms and walk side by side. Jasmine stays back with Luke. "I'm kind of upset he didn't want to go out" she says. I take a sip from my frap and nod slowly. "I mean you think he's cute right?" "Alexa I have a boyfriend" I point out. "True, but you're allowed to think other guys are cute. Especially him I mean his eyes are the most captivating green ever" she says. "Take a sip honey you seem thirsty" I joke. She gasps and then starts laughing. "Wait Ari" I turn around and see Jasmine trying to catch up. "Yea?" I say as I turn around. She holds up a phone, no wait, Luke's phone? She puts it in front of me and looks back and forth between me and Luke's phone then she gasps. "Oh my god..." her words don't even finish until I try to take the phone from her hands. She's too quick for me. "No no no" she says and waves her finger back and forth in  my face. I scowl at her as ashe turns back to Luke. They start having a conversation that I can't hear. I ignore it for a while and keep talking with Alexa.

We reach my car and pile in. I still drive,  but this time Luke sits in shotgun with Jas and Alexa in the back. "We won't have time to go to my house" I turn and tell Luke as I stop at a stop sign. "Why?" He asks. "Because we don't have enough time,  I live 30 minutes away and we have to be back to school in one hour,  besides we haven't eaten" I say. He nods and says, "Ok fine, what about tomorrow?" "Yea sure" I smile and continue driving. I pull into and In-and-Out Burger and we get out. Luke jogs infront of us and pulls open the door. Alexa and Jas walk in first, "Thanks" they say in unison. I walk in next and smile politely at him. He walks behind me and puts his hand on my lower back. I tense up a little and he takes his hand off, "Sorry" he mumbles before catching up with Jasmine and Alexa. I felt bad, but I mean I have Finn and I don't wanna ruin that. I caught up with them at the register, "Since it's your birthday and Jasmine and I both wanted to be good best friends, we're paying for your food" Alexa said and smiled. "Thanks guys" I replied and hugged them. "I want a-" I started, but got cut off, "bacon cheeseburger with no tomatoes" Alexa said, "and a coke zero with double ice" Jasmine finishes. "Wow you guys got it right" Luke says, surprised. "What?" I ask. "Oh we already ordered" Jasmine says as she hands me the receipt. I look it over and they ordered exactly what I wanted. "You guys are the best" I laugh. Our food comes quickly and we find a place to sit down. We start eating quickly and make small talk while we eat. A couple minutes later we exit the place and get in my car. This time Alexa's in shotgun with Luke and Jas in the back. "Are you guys like taking turns?" I laugh.  "Yea" Alex responds and we all crack up. About 15 minutes later we get back to school. "With 15 minutes to spare" Alex says and claps her hands together. We walk together to our lockers which are pretty close to each others. We get out books for the next class and compare our schedules with Luke. "We have next period together!" I exclaim. "We have seventh" Alexa says. "None" Jasmine says sadly. "Aw well at least we hang out during free period and lunch!" Luke says trying to cheer her up. She smiles and waves goodbye and walks to next class and Alexa follows soon after. Luke and I atart walking to the library for TV production. It's quiet, but surprisingly not awkward. We walk into class as soon as the bell rings.

Hey guys!

Sorry I took forver to update, I've been busy with school and stuff and that being said, I probably won't update really quickly and frequently as I should. I'm going to update when the chapters are finished and I think they're good enough to post ok?

Another thing, I write these on my phone and I make typos-Woah what? typos? you? nooo-yea I do and I make them A LOT...If you happen to catch one in the chapters,  I'm sorry, but please don't swarm me and tell me, "You made a mistake, it's supposed to be class not cladd! can't u type?" bc it's happened and it hurts my feelings....Everyone makes typos and I'm sorry bc I try to proof read my chapters before I post them, but if one slips them who cares...you guys can figure out what I meant

I won't do many author's notes bc not many ppl read them so when I do they'll most likely be short unlike this one...
