I hear the buses pass by my window. I sigh as I click another Youtube video.

Being sick on a Monday isn't so great. I still have that Monday feeling.

In the middle of a Tyler Oakley video, I suddenly get a text.

Recieved text from "Cameron" at 11:08 am:

"You got me sick. :-("

Sent text to "Cameron" at 11:09 am:

"Awe. I'm sorry."

Recieved text from "Cameron" at 11:15 am:

"Want to go out for coffee?"

Sent text to "Cameron" at 11:16 am:

"Sure. :-)"

Recieved text from "Cameron" at 11:17 am:

"Great! Be there in 5 min."

I get up and rummage through my room. I find some bills and spare change lying around. I count them up. A total of $7.89 lie in my palms.

I proceed to get ready. I take my purse and wait outside.

A car rolls up the driveway. I get in and give Cameron a nod to represent I got everything.

We then speed off the driveway.

---

"Wait, this isn't Starbucks." I ask, confused.

"No. This is Cookie Cafe. Trust me, it's way better then Starbucks. Everything is homemade here."

A gust of November wind hits me, causing the scent inside the cafe to hit my face.

"Mmmm. It smells wonderful." I say.

"C'mon, let's go inside." Cameron says whole dragging me inside.

We sit in a booth when a waitress comes up.

"What would you like today?"

"I-um-I-I."

Cameron starts shaking and sweating. He can barely get words out of his mouth. It looks as if he is about to puke.

"We'll just take the original batch." I say.

"Coming right up."

I reach over and pat Cameron's hand.

"Are you okay, Cameron?"

"Yeah. I'm just not used to talking to anyone but you." He says.

"What's the original batch anyways?" I ask.

"It's a batch of cookies and cups of coffee." He says, fuddling with his hands.

"Why is it original" I ask using air quotations.

"The cookies and coffee are homemade."

"Here is your original batch. That will be $11.14, please."

"I'll be paying for this one." Cameron says.

"No, let me pay half." I say taking my money out of my hood pocket.

"No, I toke you out, that means I pay for this one."

"But I'll feel bad if you pay for all of it."

We then proceed to argue until I force Cameron to pay half.

"Are you guys dating?" The waitress suddenly asks.

"No. We're just friends." I say.

"Oh. Then I totally ship you guys." She says.

"What's a ship?" Cameron asks.

"Don't worry about it." I say.

---

After we finish our meal, we decide to walk around town.

"Oh wait, let's stop at RadioShack. They have the charger I need for my phone." Cameron says.

We enter RadioShack. No one was in the store except for the cashier looking at a Playboy magazine.

"Over here." Cameron says.

I then see what I always wanted. A Polaroid camera.

"Oh, no way!" I say.

"What is it" Cameron asks.

"They're selling Polaroid camera's! Oh man, I have wanted these since forever!" I said examining one.

"What's stopping you?"

"The money. The cheapest is $188.00. I used to have $97 dollars saved but I am really bad with cash. " I say.

"Found the charger. Let's go." Cameron says.

---

"Where are we going next?" I say.

"To the thrift shop. I want to see if what I want is still there." Cameron says, jogging.

We enter the shop. I follow Cameron to one display case full of guitar picks.

"See that one?" Cameron says.

He points to a dark blue guitar pick. It has a tiny image of street lights and a woman in a coat walking.

Cameron picks up the pick and shows me the other side. It has a signature by someone named Tom Higgenson.

"Who's Tom Higgenson?" I ask.

"He plays the acoustic guitar in the Plain White T's. He is probably one of the reasons why I started playing guitar. This image is from the 'Hey there Delilah' video."

"What's stopping you from buying it?" I ask.

"My parents don't believe in allowence. I have to earn it." He says.

"Don't worry, you'll get it soon."

---

"What should we do now?"

"Let's go to the park and play in the leaves!" I shout.

We arrive at the park and immediately I take handfuls of leaves and dump them in a pile. Cameron does the same.

"3-2-1 jump!"

We both jump in the leaves. A leaf flew in my mouth.

"Ew ew ew." I say.

Cameron has a fit of laughter.

Suddenly, my phone lets out a beep.
