I looked out the window of my room. I pouted at the sight of the dark gray clouds and water pouring down from the sky. I was hoping to go out to the amusement park that day, but my plans were ruined by the sudden announcement of rain.

All of a sudden, I felt strong arms wrap around me from behind, pulling me into a back hug.

"Why are you sad?" Chan, my boyfriend asked me. He buried his head into the crook of my neck, his hair tickling me.

"The rain," I said unhappily. "Remember how we were going to go to the amusement park?"

"Yeah," Chan chuckled. "Of course I remember, you kept talking about it non-stop."

"I really wanted to go."

"I know you did," He responded. "But, we can still have fun at home."

I looked at Chan with bright eyes. "Cookie baking?"

"Cookie baking," He replied.

Chan and I rushed down the staircase towards the kitchen. We put on our aprons and got to work.

I was adding chocolate chips to our batter when Chan suddenly back hugged me again.

"Ah~" He opened his mouth, gesturing to me to put a chocolate chip in it.

I fed him a piece of the chocolate and continued to mix.

Chan kissed my cheek and said, "Just as sweet as you~"

I playfully swatted at his arm. "You're so cheesy, what the heck."

"But you still love me for it," He teased.

"Good point," I said. I stood on my tiptoes and dropped a quick peck on his lips. "Now go into the living room and put on some Netflix."

Chan did as he was told and turned on the television. As soon as I put the cookies into the oven I went to join my boyfriend on the couch.

As soon as I sat down on the couch, Chan pulled me onto his lap so he could hug me as we watched the show. Every once in a while, he would place a small kiss on the back of my neck, sending shivers down my spine.

*Ding*

The sound of the oven telling us the cookies were done went off as I rushed to the kitchen with Chan behind me.

I put on oven mitts and pulled the cookies out from the racks. We let them cool down for a few minutes before breaking one of the cookies in half to share.

The gooey centre of the cookie melted in my mouth.

"We did good," I said smiling.

"Yeah we did," Chan said giddily. "The best way to spend a rainy day, am I right?"

"Of course," I said as we shared another cookie. We laughed and ate cookies for the rest of the day and as Chan had said, it really was the best way to spend a rainy day.
