My room is huge compared to the one back in Florida. Maybe three or four times bigger. It came with a California king bed, 50 inch tv, and so much more.
Currently, it's 9:30 P.M. in Australian time. I'm having trouble falling asleep due to the jet lag. I was laying in bed, watching Finding Carter. Its a really good show.
Out of nowhere, there was a knock on my door. "It's me," they announced. That voice was so recognizable. It was Luke.
"Come in," I replied, checking my pajamas to make sure I wasn't showing anything.
"Hey. I'm bored. Mind if I hang here for a while?" He asked, standing awkwardly in the doorway.
"No. Not at all," I said. He plopped down into my beanbag chair and got comfortable.
"I see you've taken this room to you liking?" He conversed.
"Yeah. It's really nice. Your house is beautiful."
"Well, it's your house now as well."
"I suppose so."
"Lea, may I ask a question?"
"You just did."
He chuckled. "Shut up."
"Fine. Ask your question."
"Why are you so.........."
"So what?"
"Well you have this image where you're against the world. You have a really negative attitude. What I wanna know is..... why?"
"I've been through a lot. Oh, and did I mention my mom is marrying a guy who proposed over video chat?"
"Hey. I'm not too thrilled about this either, as I've said before. But that man happens to be my dad, who, as much as I hate to say, is madly in love with your mom. There are just some things in the world you can't control sis."
Sis? Did he just call me sis? "Um, what was that?"
"What?"
"That thing you just said."
"I have no idea what you're taking about."
I playfully rolled my eyes and hit him with one of my pillows.
Much to my surprise, he snatched a pillow ans struck back. We both chuckled and smacked eachother with the plush pillows.
After a while, Luke broke the laughter. "Okay, okay, I surrender."
"Wimp," I muttered under my breath.
"What was that?" he asked, eyebrows raised.
"I called you a wimp."
"A wimp? How can you call these big guns wimps?" He flexed his arm. I must admit, there was some muscle, but not a lot.
"Luke, you're a wimp."
"Whatever."
"I have an idea."
"Speak."
"Let's play 21 questions."
"Okay. You first."
I thought about what I would ask. Finally, I settled on starting with simple, and ending with personal questions. "What's your full name?"
"Lucas Robert Hemmings. And yours?"
"Lea Evangelie Stephenson."
"Evangelie. That a bit odd. No offense."
"Oh, I know it is. That's why I abbreviate it as Evan."
"I see. Hm...what's your favorite color? Mine is blue."
"Red. What's your band called?"
"5 Seconds Of Summer."
"And the members?"
"That's two questions in a row."
"Just answer the damn question Lucas."
"Don't call me that. Please."
I giggled at his embarrasment. "Alright, but who are the members?"
"Well, there's Calum, the bassist. Ashton is the drummer. And Michael is the guitarist."
"And let me guess, you're the frontman."
"Yup."
I rolled my eyes at the smug look on his face, when I suddenly got an idea "How many guitars do you have?"
"Let's just say a lot... Why?"
"And you keep them in that extra garage, right?"
"Yeah. That's where we have band practice."
"Let's go."
"To the band room?"
"Yeah."
"At 10:15 at night?"
"Yeah. You'll see why. Just take me there."
He sighed and stood up. I followed him down the spiral staircase and to the garage. He opened the door and flicked a lightswitch on. When I saw what was in front of me, I nearly drooled.
The room was filled with guitars and drums of all kinds. I ran over and nearly cried over being so close to something I could only wish of owning. A Gibson RD Artist special addition guitar.
Just before I could grab it, Luke's worried voice stopped me. "Don't! That's Michael's baby. If I allow anyone to use it, let alone a stranger, he'll kill me."
"Ugh. But she's perfect."
"Yeah. She is. You can ask him to use it when the guys arrive, but I'm not sure he'll grant you permission."
"I just really want to use it. It's like my dream."
"Well, your dream has come true," an unfamiliar voice announced from behind me. I turned towards the doorway and saw three guys. One was a brunette with really nice legs and a flirty smirk, one had bright green hair and an eyebrow peircing, and the other was wearing a bandana and had stubble growing along his jawline.
"So this is her?" the bandana man asked, looking over at Luke.
"Yeah. Guys, this is Lea." he introduced.
"Well hello, Lea. I'm Ashton." the bandana man spoke.
"I'm Calum. And you can call me anytime." the brunette stated. I giggled.
"And I'm Michael." the bright-haired one said, smiling warmly.
"Wait, so I can use you guitar?" I asked Michael.
"Yeah. Just don't smudge or scratch it."
"Oh, trust me, I would never do such a thing to a guitar this beautiful." I walked over and lifted it off the stand. After I flung the strap over my shoulder, I ran my fingers across the fret board.
When I looked up, the guys were all staring at me in confusion. I smirked and plugged it in to the nearest amp I could find.
Looking down at the precious thing that I'm holding, I played a really complicated riff. Looking back up, I saw four dropped jaws.
Calum had the widest eyes and was the only one to speak. "I think I'm in love."
