Class 1-L

II: Day One-Part 1

I was sleeping peacefully until I heard the sudden beeping of Tokoyami's alarm clock. Dark Shadow quickly turned it off as me and Tokoyami began to wake up. He groaned. "Good morning Warren," he said in a sleepy tone. "Morning," I had said back.

Throughout a portion of the night I had...uh... watched Tokoyami sleep. Call me a creep, but, it was... mesmerizing. He lightly snored trough the night and he looked so peaceful. I watched him until I was able to fall asleep myself.

"Boys!" Tokoyami's mother had called from outside. "Breakfast!" It was in an almost sing song voice. Tokoyami and I got up and walked out to see that his mother had made an excellent breakfast meal. We sat down, him sitting to my right. 

They had even poured me a cup of tea. However, the thing is... I don't like tea. As strange as it sounds I have never enjoyed the taste of any kind of tea. Iced, hot, herbal, whatever, I never liked it. Every time before now that I was given tea I somehow managed to get past without anyone noticing I hadn't drunken any.

"What's wrong, Warren?" Tokoymai's father asked. "Is there something wrong with the tea." Oh great, only NOW are they catching on. I don't want to be THAT GUY. You know the one, the exchange student that acts more like a tourist than a student.

"Oh no, nothings wrong," I said with a smile. "I'm just a bit tired still is all." Well. Time to prove myself. I took the cup and took a sip.

I tried to hide my dislike of it trough a smile. I don't think they bought it, but they dropped it after that. After breakfast Mrs. Tokoyami handed me a large package, labeled,

Warren Logan, Class 1-L, UA Uniforms (School and Training)

Great, school uniforms. As if this wasn't a controversial topic in America to start. "Why don't you and Fumikage go put them on, Warren?" She said with a warm smile. I nodded politely and Tokoyami let me use the dressing room first. I got dressed into my school uniform.

Truth be told, I liked it more than I thought I was going to. It was a gray suit jacket and red tie and fancy pants. It didn't come with shoes, so I just put on my favorite pair. A 1980's pair of black Converse High-Tops. They were my father's. 

I walked out into the kitchen in my new uniform. "Well don't you look handsome," Mrs. Tokoyami said warmly. "And there's one more thing I wanted to give to you." She brought out another package. On this one it said, 

Warren Logan, Class 1-L, Hero Costume

Awesome. I wanted to try it on so freaking bad. I had designed and drafted it for months on end, and was finally able to get it just right for me. I decided instead to open it and see the contents.

In it was an orange, blue and yellow suit with an orange hood attached. It was short-sleeved and it had gold colored stretchable sides on the sides. It also included a multi-pouch belt, my eye prescription eye mask, and my punk AF boots. Stitched on the front of the suit was the symbol I designed. And orange bear paw with blue claws. It was perfect.

"Oh look at the time!" Mrs. Tokoyami said looking at the wall clock. "You two need to get going!" She began to gently push us out. "Bye Fumi," she said as she kissed the top of Tokoyami's beak. He was blushing and looked flustered and embarrassed, but I guess he knew better than to say anything. She then grabbed me and put into a warm hug, "Have a great day at school you two. Fumi, make sure you take care of Warren. Bye kids." She waved as she closed the door.

"So..." I said a bit awkwardly as we walked onto the street. Tokoyami looked at me. "How do we get there?" "Well, we need to take the sub-"

"YOU CAN TURN INTO ANIMALS, RIGHT?" Dark Shadow had appeared. It was so sudden that I jumped at the crackling voice. "Uh... Y-yes?" I said, unsure why this... I guess I would call it 'quirk' was asking me.

"CAN YOU FLY US THERE?" 

"Dark Shadow, no," Tokoyami tried to restrain his quirk's excitement of me and my quirk.

"Uh, I guess I could..." I responded. I never had to transport anyone that was outside my family members before. Though I guess if I was going to do it, Tokoyami would be the first.

"It's ok Warren," Tokoyami said. "You don't have to if you don't want to."

"No, its ok," I said with a slight smile. "Stand back," I told him, and he stood on the edge of the street.

"Pegasus!" My body morphed in a quick second and before Tokoyami was I, a pure white horse with light blue hair and large white bird wings. Tokoyami looked stunned. But Dark Shadow was awing at me. "YOUR SO PRETTY!" he said, and he patted my horse head.

Wow. This is weird.

"I thought you could turn into real animals," Tokoyami said as he walked a little closer. "So long as history as recorded the creature to be an animal, I can turn into it. I can turn into real animals, extinct animals, even fictional animals." I went to on my forelegs. "Hop on," I said.

"Uh, I don't know about this..." Tokoyami said extremely unsure. "Don't worry you wont fall. Plus my Pegasus wings are so big it can easily cover riders. Just trust me. You trust me, right?" Tokoyami looked at me in my eyes. He had a beautiful set himself, and I couldn't even attempt to look away. "Yes," he finally said, and he clambered onto my back. Once he was on I took a running start, gently hoped off the ground, and we flew, him giving me directions on where to go.

I feel me and Tokoyami are going to be close. Or, at least, I hope.
