I stare blankly at the pregnancy test. 'Positive. 4 months'. What! The world starts spinning. Everything goes blurry. I feel my body tilt backwards and then a slight sensation of the cold timber floor. I'm numb. And then everything is black.

"Honey? Are you awake?" I hear a light sing-song voice next to my ear. Slowly I open my eyes and take in my surroundings. I'm in a white hospital bed, with a drip in my left arm. The wafting scent of medicine and blood fills my nose and I glance up into the smiling face of a young nurse. "W-what happened?" I whisper, gripping my throbbing head.
"Shit," I say under my breath. I can hear the blood pounding in my ears and the pain of the needle injected in my arm. But then I feel something else, something deep inside of me. My stomach contracts and I grip the side of the bed, howling in pain whilst holding my unusually bloated stomach. "Miss Winter, are you alright?" the amateur nurse looks at me with frustration. I know that the pregnancy test was wrong, there was no way that I was pregnant, and I was definitely not 6 months!
"Yeah, I'm, err, fine. Do you guys offer, umm, pregnancy tests?" I ask, unsure. "Yes, we do. Why, would you like to take one while you're here?" she says, checking her phone. "Yeah, can I, like, take it now?" I say, wincing as another cramp stabs my stomach. "Sure, I'll get the doctor," she says.
I lie back into the bed. I don't know what to believe anymore, but I know that this will prove whether that pregnancy test in my room was a rigged prank or not. Everything aches; my head, my back, my torso. I take the blanket off and pull up my shirt to look at my stomach. It definitely looks bigger than usual, my belly button slightly sticking out. Quickly, I pull my shirt down. You're seeing things, that's all.
"Excuse me, Miss Winter?" I snap my head up to look at the person in front of me. He has dark hair cropped short, strong dark brows framing his sparkling green eyes. I could swear I've seen those same eyes before. His expression was one of pure misery. He cleared his throat. "Sorry, I, err, got distracted," I say, snapping out of it. "Could you lift up your shirt?" he asks, shifting his weight awkwardly.
So, I do as he says and lift up my shirt to expose my bloated torso. He puts a scanner onto my stomach and looks at a screen to his left. I direct my vision to the screen and I make out the faint outlines of a little being, slowly breathing. It's a girl. No! I can't be pregnant! I won't be! Especially with Luke's child!
"Well, it looks like I'm all done here," he says, getting up. "Wait! I didn't catch your name," I say, rushing my words before he exited. "Hunter Park," he says under his breath. "Your last name is Park. As in Blaze Park?" I whisper."Yes," he murmurs and doesn't look back.

When I walk into my English class I notice that the teacher isn't here. I scan the classroom and in the corner I see two people making out. "Get a room!" I yell at them. They turn around and I gasp for air. It was Luke and Ariel.
"Ahh... I see the screw-up fairy has visited us again," Ariel sniggers from across the room. I few giggles from some of the girls in the in the back reach my ears and I'm ready to slap a bitch."Have you been shopping lately? They're selling lives at the mall, you should go get one," I say, putting my hands on my hips. A chorus of 'ooh's' from the back provokes Ariel even more, and the look on her face is priceless.
"Now can you please move, I need to talk to your little make-out buddy," I say pushing her and yanking her fake blonde weave. She sticks her hand out and pushes me back. "What the hell!" I scream as I stumble backwards. "If you want to get to him you'll have to go through me!" She exclaims.
"This isn't a competition! I need to talk to him!"
"Oh yeah? Well take this!" she screams, the frustration evident on her face. And then it hits me, literally. She punches me in the face. Her little fist barely even grazes me cheek before I hit her right back and she goes stumbling... into the teacher who just walked in the classroom. Shit.

So, there I sit in the uncomfortable waiting chair in front of the principals office. "Avery Winter? You can see me in the office," a bald old man with an obvious beer belly says, stepping into my view. I get up with a sigh and stomp my way into the the cramped room. As soon as I walk in I can smell the cigarettes and cheap booze in the air.
"Now, tell me why you got into a physical fight with Ariel Clyne," he says putting his hands on the table. "I know it sounds it sounds cliche, but she started it,"
"We have gotten several calls from the Clyne family, and that isn't the information that we've received,"
"You know what? I'm not here to try and convince you that I'm right. So go ahead, suspend me, expel me. To be honest, I don't really care. Actually, it'd help me out if you did," I exclaimed before storming out of the room. On my way out I feel my phone vibrate in the pocket of my jacket.
"Naughty girl got called to the principals office. So tell me, how much do you still care about Luke? Let's find out.. -B"
